Mariah Carey insures her legs for $1 billion
After becoming a star of Gillette's Legs of a Goddess campaign, Mariah Carey insured
her legs for a billion dollars. Mariah Carey wants to ensure the best possible treatment
if she hurts herself while on tour of the US. However, "Emancipation of Mimi" singer has
no doubt chosen the sum as a reflection of her popularity.
"The sum reflects her popularity. She's about to start a US tour and she'll have to be
careful," the Mirror quoted the source close to Mariah Carey, as saying. Mariah Carey
is set to begin The Adventures of Mimi Tour, her first tour since 2003, in late summer
2006.
Mariah Carey's "Emancipation of Mimi" became the year's best-selling album in the U.S.
and won three Grammy Awards (including "Best Contemporary R&B Album"). Since her debut,
Mariah Carey has received a career-total of five Grammy Awards.
