Pepsi Smash
Last night, Mariah's Pepsi Smash Live concert was at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.
The setlist was the same as the Tunis concerts minus "I Know What You Want",
"Breakdown", and "Without You". Mariah didn't sing "Time Of Your Life" and she
said the concert was just a tidbit of what's to come on the real tour.
Mariah wore a two-piece bikini thing with a cape. Then for the second outfit, she
kept the two-piece but added a short black skirt and a white jacket. Then for the third
outfit, it was a pink gown with sequins and crystals. The show opened exactly at
22:30 with "It's Like That" and ended with "We Belong Together" at 00:00. Chris Brown
was Mariah's special guest at the concert.
Live Journal wrote: "The show was stunning. I really wasn't expecting a full-blown show
but Mimi brought the house down. Four costume changes, a staircase, a disco ball, full
gospel choir, and the Mimi light wall - it was freaking fantastic. Best part is she
sounded and looked amazing. No lip synching tonight.
She did live remixes including one of Dreamlover with Biggie's juicy that I had never
heard before. And the O.D.B remix of Fantasy. She said it was just a "tidbit" of what
her full show was like but frankly, I'd have paid for a full-price ticket to see what
I saw tonight.
I can't believe it was only a tidbit. I encourage any fans who haven't yet seen her live
to do your best to get a ticket to the Adventures of Mimi Tour. Such a spectacle. She is
at her pinnacle. I have been a fan for so long and seeing her perform live made me even
more of a fan. Don't count her out."
