The Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, The Hits, The Tour

Monday, I had the best night of my life when I saw the one and only Mariah Carey perform live at the United Center in Chicago, on "The Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, The Hits, The Tour". It was the second time I've seen her, and this was by-far the best time yet. Our seats were located on the main floor, towards the middle of the arena, but we still had an awesome view of the main stage. I swear, when she finally came out, I had a freaking heart attack. I was screaming like crazy and singing all the songs in a loud capacity, but of course nobody could overpower Mariah.

She sang her heart out, and she looked so fit, it wasn't even funny. The whole place was drooling, especially at one point where she swivelled around a pole during "Shake It Off". Her voice was so amazing, as everyone knows. But it's totally indescribable to hear it live. It's just this amazing thing to watch her use her instrument, like you feel like you're watching a part of history right in front of your eyes.

She even had special guests: Da Brat (who came out to rap on "Heartbreaker Remix/Heartbreaker") and Trey Lorenz (who did back-up singing and came up to sing "I'll Be There"). Also present was DJ Clue, who kept the crowd entertained during two of Mimi's costume changes by playing a mix of old-school, new-school hip-hop and R&B tunes.

The best part, no doubt, was in the middle of the show. During a costume change, a slew of security guards started setting up rope down a path right by us. I was going crazy, wondering what was going on. Then one of the security people said Mariah was gonna walk right by us to get to the "B" stage, which happened to be right by where we were sitting. I almost died. I was flipping out. And then, it happened. Mimi came out and walked right by us. She was so beautiful up close, and looked so happy to be so close to her lambs.

When she got to the "B Stage", we all ran up there as she sang "Fantasy", "Don't Forget About Us", and "Always Be My Baby". It was the best moment of my life so far, as she was mere feet from me. She was so close, that I even noticed a little birthmark on her stomach that I never noticed before in pictures or on TV. And she talked to the crowd in between songs, reading signs, giving "happy birthday" shout-outs to some audience members, etc.

It was just such an energized concert that left all of us screaming for more. We also got some really awesome pics. This was the best night of my life, and I can't wait until the next time I get to see Mariah Carey live. She is such a beautiful person inside and out, and she was every bit the hot tamale. I love you Mariah.
