Jessica Alba named sexiest woman in the world
|  | | Jessica Alba | | Jessica Alba, 25, star of the upcoming Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, has been voted the sexiest woman in the world by readers of FHM. The Sin City star, who will celebrate her 26th birthday this weekend (April 28th), tops the list. Last year's American Idol runner-up, Katharine McPhee, placed second in her first appearance in the 100 Sexiest poll. Scarlett Johansson, who was No. 1 in 2006, dropped to No. 3 this year.
FHM's 100 Sexiest Women poll is recognized as the original, and largest, reader-generated listing of the sexiest women in the world. It is voted for entirely by FHM readers worldwide, with approximately eight million votes counted this year from all over the globe.
"Jessica Alba is a stunning California beauty with an exotic allure that is mesmerizing," says FHM Online Editor-in-Chief Scott Kritz, adding, "there's nothing sexier than a gorgeous super hero."
McPhee, who debuted at No. 2, "captured our attention last year on American Idol," says Kritz, "there is something incredibly sexy about a woman who can sing." (Yahoo!) Mariah Carey has been voted the 45th sexiest woman in the world. Last year she was number 28.
