Mariah Carey drops tour DVD, album pushed back to '08
Just in time for the holidays, Mariah Carey has teamed with Best Buy and Live Nation to release her new concert tour DVD. Carey's "The Adventures of Mimi" tour has been captured on film and will be available on DVD exclusively at Best Buy retailers beginning December 4.
Though Mariah is currently signed to Island Def Jam, the Adventures of Mimi DVD is being released via Live Nation Artist/Artist's Nation imprint. Carey's Tour was also produced by Live Nation.
In addition to concert footage, the double-disc DVD also features songs from Carey's Emancipation of Mimi album, Carey and Boyz II Men's duet "One Sweet Day", and bonus features including behind-the-scenes footage, coverage of a karaoke event and the 15 minute Spike Lee-directed spoof film Love & Haters, which stars Mariah as herself.
Carey's as yet untitled 11th studio album is expected to hit stores in February 2008 via Island Def Jam. (SOHH)
