Carey extends reign atop chart to six weeks

It's another week at the top for Mariah Carey, as her Columbia album "Music Box" logs its sixth week in the No. 1 position of the SoundScan sales chart, according to numbers supplied by an industry source. "Music Box", which sold 108,000 copies for the seven-day period ending Jan. 23, widened its lead over runner-up Snoop Doggy Dogg, whose rap smash "Doggystyle" sold more than 85,000.

New Jack crew Jodeci moved to No. 3 with its MCA-issued "Diary of a Mad Band". The strongest debut of the week was ZZ Top. The veteran Texas trio's new "Antenna" album, its first under a new multimillion-dollar deal with RCA Records, comes in at No. 14, with sales of 54,000.
