Everyone (OK, maybe just Simon Cowell) is talking about how Leona Lewis is going to be the next Mariah Carey. Leona's album has already hit No. 1, and industry wonks are waiting to see how it fares against Mariah's E=MC2.
Knowing how, um, fragile, Mariah's mental state can be, we wanted to remind Ms. Carey of another heiress-apparent story: Britney Spears and Madonna. Remember when Brit was poised to eclipse Madge in sexiness, marketability and, more important, record sales?
