Miley Cyrus hosting the 2008 Teen Choice Awards
After procrastination and hyping the 2008 Teen Choice Awards came on Sunday night. The
teen choice awards will also feature in television on Monday at 8 p.m. The award program
will be hosted by no other but bad girl and teenage scandal and controversy queen Miley
Cyrus. Miley who has been on the spotlight lately with numerous weirdos and even condom
ads nexus is set to perform her new single "7 Things". This will make her join performer
Mariah Carey, who will perform her latest single "I'll Be Lovin' You Long Time". This
will add glamour and flava to the 2008 edition of teen awards. Mariah Carey is a sensational,
popular and utterly stunning singer, and Miley singing in Mariah's show will be a shot
in the arm to her singing career since she will be in the positive light with recording
studios who might want to give her chance to record with them.
In this years edition, Chris Brown has won nine nominations while "Gossip Girl" and its
cast leads this year's pack of nominees with 14 nominations. Popular and sensational Rihanna,
Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Hayden Panettiere, Lil Mama and
"Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" have multiple nominations.
Timberlake, the reigning Teen Choice champ who has won 21 surfboards since 1999 for solo
and group projects, landed three more nominations in 2008. Cyrus racked up four nominations
this year for Choice TV Actress: Comedy, Choice TV Comedy, and Choice Music: Single and
Choice Music: Female Artist. There are another horde of celebrities featuring. The teen
2008 awards will give a thumb up to the most eccentric and achieving teenage icons in
television, movie, music, sports and fashion. The winners will be categorized in gender
based classes which include ‘hottest male artist and so on. Teen celebrity lovers are voting
every day for their favorites stars. The hottest in each category and the overall winners
will be named in a two-hour celebration broadcast from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal
City, California.
