Sony BMG to release Mariah ballads compilation
Sony BMG is set to deliver a fantastic gift for Mimi fans of all ages when it releases a new compilation album of Mariah's best love songs called, The Ballads. The album is scheduled for release in the UK and Ireland on October 20 and Italy on October 24, 2008. The album is also set to be released in Japan on November 3 and as of now scheduled to be released in the U.S. and Canada January of 2009.
Mariah Carey rocketed to stardom with her debut album in 1990. Achieving eight top 10 albums through the course of the decade she became the Nineties' most successful female singer/songwriter. This incredible success has continued throughout the 21st century and her stunning five-octave voice and songwriting talent have now delivered over 40 UK hits. Perhaps best loved for her powerful, emotional long songs, Sony BMG is collecting together all the best ballads for a brand new compilation called Mariah Carey - The Ballads.
