Say what, VH1 brings divas show back

If you ever wondered what happened to VH1's seemingly hit series "Divas Live" or "VH1 Divas", you're not the only one. The good news today is that the network has greenlit a new concert/television special for later this year. Now names have not been unveiled so we can't be heading down to ticketmaster just yet but, VH1 promises the show will be bigger than ever.

"Over the years, we've received constant calls and emails asking us to bring back our 'Divas' show. Now more than ever, the time feels right to re-launch this beloved show as a new generation of talented female artists has come to the forefront of music," said Lee Rolontz, Executive Producer for "VH1 Divas" and Executive Vice President, Music Production for VH1.

"We've heard our viewers, and we promise to deliver a live show that will generate the same 'Divas' excitement as in the past - while also infusing some new twists along the way." Shania Twain, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, Gloria Estefan and a then "Say My Name" singing Destiny's Child have all appeared on VH1's Divas in the past.
