Mariah Carey to perform at The Pearl at the Palms
With worldwide sales of more than 175 million albums, Mariah Carey - the most successful
female recording artist in history - is set to perform the most intimate shows of her
career in a special engagement at The Pearl inside the Palms Casino Resort. These
performances will take place on Friday, September 11; Saturday, September 12; Friday,
October 9 and Saturday October 10, 2009. Show time for each performance is 8 p.m.
These once-in-a-lifetime, up-close-and-personal performances at The Pearl are the first
of its kind and surround the highly anticipated release of Mariah's latest album, Memoirs
of an Imperfect Angel which features the current hit single "Obsessed".
"Obsessed" was written and produced by Mariah, The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, who are
responsible for the majority of tracks on the new album. Memoirs is scheduled to arrive
on September 15, 2009. Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, the 12th studio album of Mariah's
career, is the eagerly anticipated follow-up to her RIAA platinum-selling album E=MC2
(released April 15, 2008), and her worldwide 10 million selling The Emancipation Of Mimi
(released April 12, 2005). Both were Soundscan #1 debut albums that made chart history
for Mariah in the U.S. and numerous territories around the globe.
