Mariah pens for Peter Andre

The world's highest selling female artist, Mariah Carey, will be assisting Australian pop performer Peter Andre for his upcoming album. Mariah, who has had the hits such as Fantasy and Loverboy, has written four songs for Andre's upcoming release, including the first single (TBA soon) and is set to produce the recordings within the next few months.

"Mariah has been interested in my music since my Time album of 1998. She had shown plenty of interest in All Night All Right, Best Of Me and Letting You Go. She was able to contact me through my co-writers Brian McKnight and Montell Jordan." Peter said in a recent interview in Cairns, where he's recording his untitiled album; "She had previously organised to produce four songs that she had written for me but due to her recent illness, she had to postpone it. I wish her all the best."

When asked about a possible duet, Andre stated "This is Mariah Carey were talking about! I would be honoured to do any form of duet with her, we are talking about the best singer, songwriter and producer in the world at the moment. She's very powerful in the music industry and I'll be glad to accept any suggestions she throws at me. There is one particular song where she had written for a female vocalised chorus, she was keen to feature in that song, but at this stage - no duet."

Andre is set to return in full force, his new single is set for release by the end of the year. Carey's movie Glitter is released on November 1 and, the soundtrack is out now.
