"Precious" sweeps the Independent Spirit Awards
The critically acclaimed and Oscar nominated film Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire was the big winner at tonight's 2010 Independent Spirit Awards, recognizing independent film-making. The film won all five awards it was nominated for including the top honors of Best Feature Film and Best Director. Director Lee Daniels and cast members Gabourey Sidibe, Mo'Nique, Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz all got on stage to receive the big award! (MariahCarey.com)
