So true Shelly about DFAU (45,285) by Jamie from UK Mariah should've been #1 on the sexiest women lists in 2005 because she was perfection that year. I mean just watch the video for Don't Forget About Us or Get Your Number. Breathtaking beauty lol. I love a lot of her music videos for different reasons, standouts for me being Heartbreaker, Honey and Touch My Body. You can just tell a lot of effort went into making them and they're so fun to watch. It's such a pleasant surprise when she does something different or unexpected like dancing or dressing up (loved Obsessed for that). She has some bad videos but damn Auld Lang Syne wins the Razzie for worst music video, it doesn't get cringier than that. It's like watching my mother dance lol. The elusive success (44,540) by Jamie from UK Some people are expecting way too much out of YDKWTD believing the single will save the album or whatever. Umm I wouldn't hold my breath. Let's be real, it's a good song but it's no We Belong Together. And if I'm gonna be totally honest I think there are potential hit singles on the album and none of them start with the letter Y. Anyway, I guess really instead of trying to explain her endless flops, it's time we all accepted she's not a hit machine any more. She had her time, what goes up must come down. I really love Faded, One More Try and Meteorite (44,149) by Jamie from UK It took a few listens before I fell in love with the beautiful Faded; modern R&B gold. The climax especially blows me away every time, very reminiscent of her vocals in TEOM era. Collectively the album almost sounds like a merge of TEOM and Music Box. I can tell I'm enjoying it more than I did E=MC2 and Memoirs when they first came out, so 8.5/10 from me. (Tuesday 27 May 2014; 13:43)

Recent interviews / what's going on Mimi? (41,248) by Jamie from UK As much as I like the new single, I have to agree with all these observations of Mariah's behaviour lately. Her diva-ness has increased to the point where her "humour" is coming across more arrogant than playful. It's like a self fulfilling prophecy has taken place. She once laughed when people called her a diva, but now she has become one no doubt. And it's possible that all that alcohol is taking its toll on her coherence; she doesn't seem to be able to have a straightforward conversation anymore without rambling. It's making her uncomfortable to listen to. I love Mariah to death, but I'm a little worried about her. (Thursday 13 February 2014; 21:44)

Lambs of the UK (40,640) by Jamie from UK I've only known about 4 Mariah fans. But at least everyone's a fan of her when Christmas comes along. Last month, it seemed AIWFCIY was playing in every store I went into. I almost got sick of the song because of hearing it so many times. But of course it always makes me smile to see people humming/singing along to Mariah at that time of year. She might not regain her popularity here but her classic song always will. Tree lighting performance (40,088) by Jamie from UK Most of the performance wasn't that bad IMO, not for Mariah in 2013. It just occurred to me that her voice could still be deteriorating further, who knows what will be left in 2023 and beyond? So good for her being brave enough to sing her old songs despite her vocal issues. Hopefully her performance with Michael Buble went better. (Saturday 7 December 2013; 14:24)

And I can definitely see her singing this live. I give it 8/10. And who do you think she's referring to when she sings "I hope you don't get no ideas about reuniting baby." Walter? Lol. Close My Eyes? (39,601) by Jamie from UK I'm not sure about Close My Eyes. The clouds are barely orange, check out the Vision Of Love video - those are orange clouds lol. She could've at least been sailing away in a canoe, looking at the moon or even closed her eyes! But yeah, I see the Underneath The Stars and My All references: you can see stars on the left if you look at a larger photo, and in the music video for My All she has a "kneeling in the water" moment, except she's in a dress. New cover (39,595) by Jamie from UK Wow the photo is stunning, no doubt. I really do like it as the single cover. But to be the album cover too like some have suggested, well umm... I mean with her going on about how serious it is and stuff. She said herself "the album is going to be a brand new representation of me as an artist". Sisqo (39,263) by Jamie from UK BTW, when I say Mariah's version, I'm not forgetting Sisqo's exceptional contribution to the song. I don't think it would've sounded as good without him, however I remember an interview where Prince said something like Mariah was great but Sisqo ruined it. (Friday 13 September 2013; 20:21)

The Beautiful Ones (39,258) by Jamie from UK I also really like both versions, but slightly prefer Mariah's because anything this woman sings turns into pure gold for me. I prefer almost all her covers to the original. So yes Licia, I did just say that! Lol. That's why she's one of the top singers in my list, her voice is truly a gift from the gods. Makin It Last All Night (39,136) by Jamie from UK I can't believe someone just called this the worst song in history. Lol. I love MILAN (cool abbreviation huh), everything on that album is heaven to my ears, beats everything she released that decade. Yes, and I totally agree with the person below me on So Lonely. One of the best remixes I have ever heard, MC goes hard on that song with Twista and beat is just crazy. Worst album cover for me is Glitter, a cheap mess - she pushed away her male fanbase with that one. A shame because the music was exceptional, but the album looks like it's trying to appeal to 6 year old girls. Songs I dislike are Up Out My Face and Cruise Control. Sorry to admit I only like the remix because of Nicki Minaj's parts. With CC, I like how she incorporated reggae, but the song is a snoozefest. (Thursday 29 August 2013; 15:14)
