About Mike Dawson from USA: I'm awesome

Mariah's retire (48,708) by Mike Dawson from USA
Mr. Edward, thank you for that awesome rare "Misty Moon" clip. Now to the obvious non Lambily. *Nikki* I don't understand how you can be a lover of Mariah and even say the words "Mariah should retire". Maybe you should google Mariah's discography because in between there was Rainbow which garnered 2 number 1 hits. Then, and I know I'm treading on this ice here, but Glitter as an album was not that bad. I mean, got her yet another #1. Charmbracelet was good. Then The Emancipation. Umm, how many number one hits? I'll let you google that too. Frigging Jay Z took out a billboard to congratulate her on her "sweet 16" number one. One thing I like about Mariah is that she doesn't just put something out because "she might as well, while she's got a little extra time on her hands". When you have kids everything changes, and I don't even have kids. I just know that Mariah is still Mariah. And she will not release something that she hasn't poured her heart and soul into. BTW maybe you didn't read the post that The Elusive Chanteuse was one of the top R&B albums of the year. This site is for Mariah supporters. And if I were to hear someone say Mariah should retire in real life, I'd react the same way.

From Mr. Showbiz August 30, 1997, "Mariah Carey in street fight with producer". New York City pedestrians were witness to an abominable and disheartening scene Saturday as pop star Mariah Carey engaged in a rabid screaming match with her longtime producer, Walter Afanasieff. A source told the New York Daily News that the miniskirted diva cursed loudly at Afanasieff before finally putting an end to the fight by firing him. The reputed reason for the fight was Afanasieff's new gal pal, Samantha Cole, who is making her first record under superproducer David Foster. "I don't understand how someone of Mariah's stature could be envious of someone just coming up," Cole's record-company representative told the paper. Carey's spokesperson, Leslee Dart, denies that Afanasieff was fired, and says that their dispute erupted over creative differences. "He got mad and she got mad," Dart says. "She didn't want the album to sound overproduced. She was protecting what she felt was her creative position on the album." She should have been protecting her voice. We hear that she can curse you out in seven octaves. That's murder on the vocal chords, dear.
