About trox from united states: The current stupid career sabotage theories took me to another time in Mariah's career when she really DID suffer a sabotage from Mottola and Sony. Back then, Mariah was in her artistic and, to a certain extent, commercial (I know her '93 and '95 albums sold more than the 97' and 99' albums, however...) prime or close to it. She was a multi-million dollar machine in the music industry. These days, her money won't come from record sales. What I want to ask if the original version of Loverboy ever leaked? I would love to hear it, with the original Firecrackers sample (stoled by Mottola for J.Lo). Can someone help me? I found a video with this version in youtube but it's now removed. I never had the chance to hear it. I love the track "Firecrackers". It must be great in "Loverboy".

Mariah's train wreck? (73,520) by trox from united states
Why Mariah is sabotaging her own career? I know her hardcore fans will hate say, but I think Tommy Mottola has some reason in his open letter to her. I think Mariah needs desperately change her music and her image, at least for the next album. I would love her to do something more mature, like a Jazz and Standards album, with a very classy, yet sexy, look. The fake romance with the young dancer is just embarrassing, I don't know anyone who believes they're really dating. In 2015 she seemed to be going the right way, but now she seems like a train wreck. I like her most recent single "I don't", but it sounds like a throw off of her 1999's Rainbow album, not a "comeback" single. Mariah, get back on track.

Why can't Mariah be happy, why has it to be staged? (55,111) by trox from united states
Why can't Mariah be happy with her new boyfriend? Why does it look all staged? She's an international superstar, so she knows she's been photographed, so there will always be a bit of "staging" in everything she does. I don't think Mariah would ever use a personal relationship for publicity. We all know she had very few relationships and that after Louis [sic] Miguel, she spent a long long long time - and I would say years and years - as a single woman, rumors aside (that Mark Sudack thing was dubious, it was never ever confirmed). She's very protective of herself, but when she's in love, she's not afraid to show it. We could see pictures of her with Louis [sic] Miguel and Nick Cannon all the time too. I think it's very interesting and refreshing that she's with an older man, more mature and being treated as a real grown woman. Enough with the 12-year-girl act of the 00's. She's 45 and maybe she's enjoying her life in a mature way. I give her props.

Re: Billy from Greece (54,673) by trox from united states
I agree with you Billy. I thought the same thing. Mariah's career situation right now is very similar to Diana's back in the 80's. Both were gigantic in the previous decades, Mariah from 1990 to 2008, and Diana from 1964 to 1981, with occasional ups and downs. After their commercial prime, they became "classic" artists, with a very defined sound and persona. The problem is that classic artists hardly make a impact with new music for younger audiences. And this is not bad, they don't have anything to prove anymore. But if they want to stay vital and fresh, they have to make their images and music fresh and vital again. Diana continued to do great music after the mid-80's but her "classic" formula didn't have the freshness it once had for radio and music consumers. You can't compare Diana's latter albums or videos with those of Janet or Madonna or Whitney or Mariah. The same with Mariah, she still makes great music, thank God, but her work isn't fresh or exciting as once it was. People will love her for her legacy and this is not a problem. She can make a comeback if she finds a way to update and refresh her image and sound. She did that to a certain extent with the #Beautiful single. It was her best work in a long time. But the album was very classic, and I don't think it sounded fresh ("Me, I am Mariah...").

Re: Baby from Sweden (54,418) by trox from united states
"Baby" or whatever your name is (to paraphrase one of Mariah's lyrics), I don't mind your opinion, it's not important for me. Keep believing everything is everyone's fault but Mariah's and that she is suffering a mysterious career setback and sabotage from outside forces. It's laughable at best. I keep what I said previously. And yes, I'm modest because I don't know Mariah personally, I only try to see the situation with clean eyes and maturity. Bye.

Being realistic (54,366) by trox from united states
I saw the video of Morgan's interview, it's quiet serious. I do believe there's some truth to it. He ain't saying that Mariah is bipolar but that she inherited some bipolar and alcoholism patterns of their mother. He is basically saying that she lives in a bubble, surrounded by enables and doesn't have much limits, that her "ego is out of control" (as it is with many other superstars). She thinks she can do anything with her body and that medication mixed with alcohol won't do her harm. We all know there's some truth to it. We just don't know the extension. And I do think if Morgan only wanted money it would be easier for him to have a conversation with Mariah, his sister, and ask for it. It's not a tabloid interview that will make much difference for him financially. It's quite the contrary, it will put him in a bad position with Mariah and the world. He is being brave to do it. If he is doing that, it's because Mariah won't hear anything about her health. She will do only what she wants to do. We have to understand that these mega-stars have the power to create the reality that they want for them. I hope Mariah takes care of herself - what she seems to be doing since her Vegas announcement. But we can't see Mariah as a victim of her family or record company, she have her own problems and can be quite difficult to deal too. She's human at the end of the day. I will support her always but I believe in Morgan. It rings true at certains aspects.

Some aspects (not all) does seem to make sense (54,112) by trox from united states
The Morgan/National Enquirer story is horrible, but I don't think some aspects of it is that improbable. The drinking part during her pregnancy is a little bit crazy, beause Mariah would not jeopardize her children's life or hers like that. And she couldn't even get out of bed in the last weeks, so this is hard to believe. But there's some other aspects that do make sense: the enables, the depression and the drinking [censored]. She seems depressed in a way or other, but it's clear that her work is helping her to get through it. What I don't think is impossible is that she may have a (minor) drinking and prescription drugs problems. There's something about her that sometimes is a little bit off. Said that, I do believe she is a good mother and does her best to raise her children, so the article is malicious. I'm trying to have a mature perception of the situation.

The possible truth behind Infinity video (54,109) by trox from united states
Personally, I did like the Infinity video, but there's a simple fact that people are not taking into consideration: all the delays have must something to do with Mariah's image, or, in other words, her weight. In the video, she looks much tinner and fit than in real life. Probably they did a superb job editing the images and doing technical things to thin her up. I'm happy they did that, because Mariah would look like that with less pounds. I do believe the first shootings of the video didn't enter in the final edit because Mariah is looking overweight (it seems odd that they did divulge a short alternative version in YouTube where she does not look her best, very round-faced/the mirror part). They had to do alternate shootings to try to edit and make her seem thinner in the video. For me, this is why the Infinity video looks a little bit disorganized. The focus was more on Mariah's image. But I did like it. And I love the end, when she finally embraces real life and goes out with the guy. That part was the sweetest for me. The selfie part must have to do with her taking her picture with the puppy to send to the guy, so they can make up and go out in a date.

Mariah / Beyonce / Tiina (54,004) by trox from united states
Yeah, I do agree. It seems crazy to me how overrated Beyonce is. 20 Grammys. Really? It seems so unfair. And I do agree her music will sound really dated years from now, and her tone as a vocalist isn't the most pleasant one. You can't relax listening to her, it's kinda strange. Her voice and songs aren't soothing. But I have to say she became a better vocalist in the last few years, her last album is a little bit stronger in that sense. I just don't get it why she became so big in the industry. The worst part for me is her lyrics. She has a extremely poor speech, poor diction, poor lyrics and poor grammar. But this is kinda the elephant in the room, nobody talks about it. The girl needs to return to school and learn how to write and talk better. The only thing Beyonce does better than Mariah is stage performance. She is a really good stage performer. She can carry a audience pretty well. I'll give her that. Mariah is not that good in terms of live performances.
