About Manny from U.S.: I have loved Mariah since I heard Vision of Love back in 1990. I was captivated by her range, tone and beauty. I wanted to know more about her. I have followed her career and life ever since.

Dude I thought we had to be respectful to Mariah according to the messageboard rules. You just called her a hooker. [Webmaster: I never called Mariah a hooker, I said she looked like a hooker, which is true.]

It's so easy (78,748) by Manny from U.S.
It's sad how her fans have these bipolar feelings about her. "We love her but she's wack." Are we just projecting all this? Are we the wack ones? Or is this who she is? Who really knows what she is going through? I have sympathy for her because if you read between the lines, she could've ended up living a totally different life. She never wanted to end up like Alison. She always wanted her father's attention and approval. I'm happy her music and her essence have gotten me through some deep personal issues I have encountered. Not just as a gay man but as a human as well. It must be hard and sad, that your siblings turned on you. She is, in a sense an only child. It must be sad your fans make a mockery of you. We are all getting older and we might not live our own lives how we want. So let's just keep making fun of her. And not pay attention to our own lives.

Re: Can’t Let Go (Acapella) (78,710) (78,714) by Manny from U.S.
I love these acapella moments. I'm glad it was the one with the whistle note. I heard more layers for that whistle part. She goes even higher in some tracks. Even the low note in the beginning sounds lower than in the actual song. I've heard the Emotions acapella and heard parts in her voice I hadn't heard from the original.

Christmas show (78,304) by Manny from U.S.
I'll like to go to her Christmas show in Vegas. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I would like to hear Mariah sing "Miss you most (at Christmas time)". This song always reminds me of my grandma as she made every Christmas so special. This song brings back nostalgia. She died a few years after Mariah's first Christmas album. "Jesus (oh what a wonderful child)" would be another good one. When she sings the "Je Je Je" part I rewind it like twenty times.

Despacito (78,213) by Manny from U.S.
What is bothering me about this situation is that some fans only mention Mariah and Justin sharing this accomplishment. Let's not forget Boyz II Men, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. I already saw different IG posts mentioning Mariah and Justin only. They make it sound like Mariah only sang OSD and Justin only sang Despacito. Let's give credit where credit is due.

Re: How did I know? (77,852) (77,863) by Manny from U.S.
Who is Mariah's publicist? I remember when there were rumors of her, the publicist would clear them up. It would be done in a diplomatic. Stella comes off as defensive and hostile. For a comeback, this style of handling business would not work.

Re: Hopelessly Devoted To You (77,773) (77,782) by Manny from U.S.
I can't believe she cut the second verse for the DVD "Around the World". I love this cut. I wonder why they/she did that. I was listening to her MTV unplugged and thought why she didn't sing the second verse of "If it's Over". When I saw her in Vegas, I was disappointed to not hear the whole "Love Takes Time". It's like the songs lose their meaning. Ha ha.

Mariah (77,605) by Manny from U.S.
Someone mentioned they missed how Mariah spoke more eloquently. Some weeks ago I was watching some old interviews from the 90's. She did sound smarter and more mature. Back in high school, my vocabulary did improve with some of her lyrics and words she used. It would be refreshing to hear a recent interview where she speaks on deeper issues, not just about her diva antics. It sometimes bothers me when she has a neutral stance. Come on girl, grow some balls and speak your mind.

Re: Like the rest of us, she isn't (77,546) (77,547) by Manny from U.S.
By that logic, the US does have a bulging problem. Then we should be more compassionate. Let's not be like Andre Leon asking Mimi to lose weight, while we stuffed our faces. I get it; she is a public person, but she is a human. She still has a personal life that we don't know about. We are fans and we don't know her. We don't know her at the end of the day. We think we know the whole story from what she says in interviews. She chose to be a singer, we chose to be fans. She'll choose to lose weight on her own. I don't associate her weight gain to her "failures". I think she's doing well. She does need a better team but she is still working.

Re: Like the rest of us, she isn't (77,536) (77,544) by Manny from U.S.
I'm sorry I don't agree with this. I know some people from the gym who take public transportation who have the fittest sexiest bodies I've seen. They don't have the cash to pay a personal trainer but are committed to fitness. To say Mariah has the means so she should be fit doesn't make sense. Obviously her weight gain, like Janet's and many Americans is deeper than that. It is something psychological. Overeating is an addiction. I agree with Hilton, she'll lose weight when she is ready.

Fluke is Stella's favorite word (76,896) by Manny from U.S.
When I read that credit card article, I noticed how "fluke" was used. "When it happened at Louis Vuitton she thought it was a fluke." Mariah has been using the word fluke since she met Stella. I think she used it when asked about the New Year's fail and other times. I remember Stella using it before Mariah did. Stella find a new word when you write these fake tabloids.

Can Mariah be a gay icon without being political about the LGBTQ community?

Re: Brett resurfaces (76,099) (76,104) by Manny from U.S.
Why do I get the feeling that the real prenup or whatever it was with James, she had to pay for a huge part of ring if there was no wedding. I mean I'm not a financial expert but I'm guessing, the ring is bought in installments. If she has deceived us with other "personal stuff", I'm sure the prenup TMZ got is also fake.

Re: I was born at night, not last night (75,962) (75,977) by Manny from U.S.
Eddie Morales, Mariah's ex backup dancer, posted a throwback of Mariah and him. He has vent about Stella before. This time he said Stella is just a reality star producer. He also made other comments referring to their team and tagged Rachael. I think he even said he wishes Mariah will wake up. I like how he feels no need to be a kiss ass to Stella and has integrity. It really makes you wonder what motivates Mariah now and why she chose this management. Who knows, maybe she falls into a pattern where her old teams end up being backstabbers somehow? And she feels the need to clean house. Thats my guess.

Wow. I'm crying. Especially when I realized he was the one planning that trip. He seemed so excited. I didnt't know him personally but through this messageboard it seems I knew him to some extent. RIP Martyn.

Re: Media attention (75,506) (75,514) by Manny from U.S.
It's funny how you bring that up. Ive wondered about Camp Mariah and her charity. When I see Madonna post her charity work, I think why Mariah does not do that. Stella should be telling her to do some Camp Mariah deal since she is into all these empower movement. I know theyre different types of charity but it's more the meaning behind them. Stella does not seem like the type to support any cause like that. Seriously, I hope Stella reads this.

Re: Albums (74,918) (74,923) by Manny from U.S.
Speaking of "Emotions", I have these memories of when it was released. My art teacher in junior high would always [listen to] an adult contemporary radio station. I remember always anticipating the whistle note on "Can't Let Go" when they played it and it didn't have it. I couldn't believe they cut that out for the radio. When I saw the video, I was disappointed also. That whistle note is everything.

I give a dislike to all the Mishka comments. As much as we don't like her mom, those comments are just evil.

Re: New: Anthony Burrell interview (74,758) (74,783) by Manny from U.S.
When Anthony talked about green people or inexperienced people in her team, I thought of that cringeworthy scene of Stella defending Mariah's ass pic. Her argument was that it went viral. Anthony was in disbelief. Guess what else went viral Stella? The "Cash me outside, how 'bout dat" girl. I think Stella should go work for her instead. Mishka will be perfect in handling her Instagram account.

Re: The Nick saga (74,724) (74,729) by Manny from U.S.
That's the way I feel. There's three sides of this story. Her story, his story and what really happened. On the surface, we think we know Nick and Mariah like she's our auntie and he married into the lambily. But we can't assume why it ended. Relationships can be so complex. I liked to think only they know what truly happened and those close to them. Just because we read some articles and saw some interviews, doesn't mean we know.
