Jimmy Kimmel (53,542) by Gilbert from USA
I have to say arriving at 9 AM could be the best thing I could do to myself. I was about three people behind from the stage and I got to see how it feels to be front row. She was so beautiful and sounded quite awesome and to be honest I think she sounded much better then her BBMA awards show. This sort of made up a little bit from a canceled concert but waiting all those hours was worth it and she sang about 4 songs and did a little bit of The Roof. I also got to meet some nice lambs as well. I will have that in my memories from now on.

Thank you so much, your words meant so much and I really am happy to hear you understand where I'm coming from. It was one of those moments where I didn't know if I wanted to cry or be angry. It was just a hurt situation and I just wanted to talk about it in some way.

Just wanted to vent a little bit (53,377) by Gilbert from USA
Hi Lambs, so not sure if anyone here remembers me or not but I was pretty excited to have purchased tickets on my birthday 1/15 for 5/13 only to have the show canceled. Don't get me wrong my complaint isn't about her being ill, she is human and things happen. What I didn't appreciate was pretty much feeling like a nobody the way the situation was handled. No one got any type of notification to state the show was canceled until the time of the event. It was very heartbreaking to just show up and be handed a paper and told sorry your show is canceled, there will not be a rescheduled show. If you want tickets for the Saturday show get in line and see if you can get some. As a fan for 20 years that was the most horrible experience I've ever had when it comes to Mariah. If she knew she was sick as she stated for the past view days but says nothing until twitter is blowing up with messages from angry fans then she could've set something up. a voucher to her store, something but to be handed a sheet of paper was so heartbreaking. I didn't think I'd ever feel like crap and someone who wasn't important but the following day she posts pictures all smiling at the BBMA rehearsals.

Might not mean much (51,169) by Gilbert from USA

But this meant a lot to me, she's achieved so much. I put this little video together for her 18th anniversary.

Is anyone here going to the May 13th show?

I just listened to that yesterday. I was thinking so many years have passed and now I know what she meant. Though I'm wondering with all those hits from when she first came out to the date of that Daydream album if she is saying that was never a part of who I was.

I'm happy to see how the discussion is going (49,864) by Gilbert from USA
Everyday I come by to check and see the feedback and sometimes I want to be sad about it but I'm not that fan I used to be. I care enough to say that enough is enough. I can't stand by and coddle every bad move she makes. It wasn't as if this is something that's new, it's something she continued to do and gets sloppy each time she performs. Isn't it suprising she hasn't come to defend herself? If that was me if be totally embarrassed. All I know is she is going down hill and little by little as it gets closer to the Las Vegas residency she better have a good team with her because the last thing she needs is to be fired from her residency. I have tickets to go, I was excited but her actions lately are pissing me off. $400.00 to watch a show that might be pre-recorded would be very upsetting. I think for anyone attending her show would be furious if that's what she has left. The thing I believe I mentioned before is she has talent, I'm sure she could rearrange her vocals and music so it can match up to her voice. I don't care if the song doesn't sound the same as the track, I'm smart enough to know that her voice isn't going to match up to what it sounded like 25 years ago. She has the talent to still use her vocal skills to give us a little something different. That's way better then giving the fans something fake that was pre recorded in a studio.

Views of some of the attendees of the show (49,780) by Gilbert from USA

I felt some of the views were sincere and respectful criticism in this video and it's a little bit like our views we have here. I think the last attendee on this video was on key.

Mariah needs love and understanding (49,721) by Gilbert from USA
Here is the thing. I spent a couple of hours thinking about this and writing and re-writing what I'm feeling but to be honest I'm already a bit irked with Mariah. I don't think she needs love and understanding. She is a big girl and she needs to put her big girl panties on and stop making a mockery of herself. She needs someone who is going to sit her down and say look, this is what you need to do and this is what you need to stop doing. It's called tough love, giving her too much say is also not always good. I remember back on performances I used to see where she would just lay on a couch playing with her hair and singing and I thought that looks so tacky and it just looked like she was there to be glorified in her beauty. I adore Mariah I really do but come on she really needs someone to sit her down and get her the help she needs because she is just all over the place. She is making that woman I feel in love with back in 95 look like a joke. She worked to hard to go out as a joke.

Lip-sync (49,652) by Gilbert from USA
I adore Mariah, I really do but I think that if she doesn't want to sing anymore I could respect that. Why she is lip-syncing I don't know. I really hope she isn't going into a depression mode due to the divorce or has a yes team who isn't looking out for her own good. I'm just venting but I think if she feel's she is done performing then she should really go out with a bang, not as some joke. She has such amazing talent and I'd hate to see her just go downhill from there. She could even rearrange her vocals if she wanted to and just sing the whole a different way, I'm just not sure why this is going on.

Fair game (49,629) by Gilbert from USA
I think it's okay to have a disagreement or concern about attending the Las Vegas shows. It's not fair to fans who work hard and purchase tickets to see her show and possibly receive a half ass performance. I haven't had any problems with concerts I've gone to in the past. The only thing I can think of is these are possibly stunts (which aren't improving her status, it just makes it seem like she is going down hill). I'm still looking forward to going to see her on 5/13 but I really hope my experience remains the same as it's always been.

Ear piece (49,621) by Gilbert from USA
When I was younger, I don't remember her ever using an ear piece. Does anyone remember how the ear piece even came about?

Caesars Palace (49,330) by Gilbert from USA
I should've looked at the persons name who asked about the venue size. I've actually seen Bette Midler and Cher out there and the seating is pretty good. It's not too big and it's not too small but I'm personally not a fan of floor seats only because most of the time it's standing and it's harder for me to see but that's just me so I got tickets for the rows behind the front sections. I hope this helps.

Benjamin Fisher (49,325) by Gilbert from USA
I'm all for it man, she has so many number ones with remixes attached to them that I actually did a tweet in hopes (because we never know) she might see it. I think it's a great idea if she did remixes of the songs and/or just sing them in a different way just to give us something different. I also liked your doo-wop style you mentioned as well. It's Vegas and MC has talent I'm sure they could work out some melodies. I'm back home from Vegas but due to the announcement being recent I think that is why I didn't see any promos for the show.

Out in Vegas (49,285) by Gilbert from USA
So I'm out here for my birthday weekend. I've been past Caesars Palace but I haven't seen a Mariah poster just yet or seen her video play on the tower. I'll be out and about today so maybe I'll see something.

Excited (49,230) by Gilbert from USA
At first I was bummed out, well not bummed out I guess the word would be a bit melancholy. But the nice news was her announcement for Las Vegas. It all landed on my birthday (January 15) and once I arrived to work I noticed her tickets were already going on sale so I rushed as fast as I could and had some trouble with the codes but eventually I did get through so I will be seeing Mariah on May 13, 2015. So it was a nice surprise.

Duet suggestion (48,901) by Gilbert from USA
Hi MC family, so I don't know if any of you read 50 Shades Of Grey but the reason for me mentioning this is because I came across the theme song for the movie and the artist is known as The Weekend and just with the texture of his voice I ended up digging the song. I even had it on replay for awhile and all I could think of was him and Mariah could make a really nice ballad together because as well all know Mariah has different textures of her voice on how she could sing and I just could picture a huge hit. He is just someone who I ran into just because of the book but if I'm not mistaken he has about 2 albums of his own. If anyone ends up wanting to hear the song the name of it is Earned It by The Weekend.

Mariah and Derek (48,449) by Gilbert from USA
Hey guys. Not sure who viewed the video I posted about Mariah and Tommy, but I have a quick question someone here might know if this is true. Was she dating him before her divorce was final? Because in their words it sounds like they are saying Mariah embarrassed him (Tommy) when this came out and this is how he knew his marriage was over. I was like hmm, so I was wondering if they are trying to say that Mariah Carey cheated on him before their divorce was final.

Great topic. I would love to see more ballads surrounding the piano, I think it was a great move to do a classic. She could definitely bring out And You Don't Remember or even Vanishing and she can switch it up, there doesn't have to be a rule that states she has to sing like the original version. I loved her performance of Subtle Invitation but since she has done that I won't put that in my list of changes. If she does some covers such as "Cry Me A River" by Dinah Washington or "Eventually" by Pink. Mariah has many layers of textures in her voice and I think she can sing "Eventually" quite well. Lately, I've been listening to her music and I've been paying more attention to her vocals and I thought that is some talent right there. I don't think there is a female artist out there that can layer their voice like Mariah does. If you need examples of what I mean she has done it in "Breakdown", "Circles", "Melt Away". I'm trying to think back to see if she has used those vocals in her latest album. I'll have to get back to you on that one unless someone who read this can confirm it for me.

Just wondering (47,343) by Gilbert from USA
I've been thinking she has such great songs from her latest album yet the same ones have been performed. I wonder if it's due to personal reasons that Faded, Camouflage and Make It Look Good haven't been performed. For me I would have a big ass smile on my face if she did those songs and I was there. Those of course are my favorite including Cry but that of course is being performed. Any thoughts from anyone else?

Thank you, you made my morning with that Fantasy video. I kind of hoped for a original version of Fantasy but at least I know now which version she has been singing.

The Elusive Chanteuse Show: opening night in Japan (47,084) by Gilbert from USA
The set list she did for the show (found on Mariahjournal) is quite nice. There is a mixture of everything and not as typical as I expected. Lucky fans.
