I feel for Morgan (54,261) by TiffMelody from USA
Let's recap. According to him, MC is so drunk, she's able to walk in 5 inch heels without stumbling despite there being millions of cameras recording her over the years. She's so drunk that she was able to do American Idol (punctually) despite the drama Nicki thrown at her and still was able to keep a straight face. She's so drunk that Nick will vouch for her and say she's a good mother. She's so unstable that she would perform at a charity event with cracked ribs and nerve damage. She's such a drunk that not only did she do a live Christmas taping while pregnant but also went back in the studio to sing with Tony Bennett. (But of course she was drinking while pregnant.) You know I feel for Morgan because this is so out of the blue for him and way out of character. I suspect that somebody is pulling the strings on him. I believe there's a picture of MC with her brother and his wife. I think this is the only photo of her with her sister-in-law. (Webmaster, do you know what picture I'm talking about?) I don't know who this woman is. I'm beginning to suspect that somebody is trying to cash in on their distant connection to MC, and there's nothing like a man selling someone out over another woman.

IDWC live in Vegas (53,237) by TiffMelody from USA
Is it just me that notice MC is singing that song with gusto like she found a whole new meaning to the song? I remember in past interviews she indicated that she didn't relate to the song. Well I guess now she does: "Nothing in the world can take us back to where we used to be." She may have written this song years ago but I can imagine whom she's singing it to. Like Snoop Dog said "Baby don't cry."

It's Like That VH1 performance (50,405) by TiffMelody from USA

I've just stumbled across this performance. It's been a long time since I've shown this song some love. I got to admit she went all out on this performance. This song so appropriate for her now. (You better tell it, MC "leave it all behind".) You can tell she was really enjoying herself and was really great place. Don't worry guys; she'll get back into this place again. Just have faith.

Getting it off my chest (48,369) by TiffMelody from USA
About this whole "needs to prove herself", please understand that you have to be able to read in between the lines, you have to see the motives behind people. Haters are not attacking MC because they don't know she can sing. They're attacking because they love drama. That's why the media reports it because they know people buy into drama. Why? Because it distracts them from the drama in their own lives. OK. Please understand they already know she's a brilliant vocalist. It ain't news if somebody like Britney Spears (no disrespect) mess up singing, but it is news when a brilliant vocalist like MC messes up. So therefore you don't have to pay attention to these haters, just smile and nod at them and keep it moving. I mean they're critiquing MC like she's auditioning for The Voice or something. She has millions in the bank and platinum album upon platinum. I say she won the contest if there was a contest. And for haters who compare a new artist to MC, let them know that there's no rule that you have to like only one artist, it's OK to like other singers. Please understand that the greatness of an artist is measured by their influence. A new artist has a long way to go to be at MC's level. Anybody who says otherwise, have patience with these folks because they are delusional. The school system ain't what it used to be, objectivity is a problem with these young folks. You're wasting your breath arguing. Just smile and nod and say "reading is fundamental" and keep it moving. When MC was approaching Elvis' record, no way in the world was she under the misconception she was trying to replace his greatness. In fact, she flat out stated that "I am not Elvis". Why? Because Elvis has decades upon decades of influence upon the music culture, MC hadn't finished her second decade of her career yet at the time. So haters with their new "so and so artist is better" are merry-go-weather fans. They're letting the "artist of the moment" marketplace dictate to them who they should like. Now, a new artist may have great potential. I'll give them that, but how may artists with great potential wind up on "Where are they now?" episode off VH1 and you're discussing with your friend "You remember what happen to so and so? Didn't they have that song such and such?" And Bubba goes "I don't know what happen to him. Last thing I heard he was doing an informercial." That's what a conversation about a has been sounds like. Trust me on this, no conversation about MC will go like that. I'm still disheartened about Lauryn Hill. Talk about artist with great potential. She dropped an album that shook the market. I'm still mourning the loss of her. Therefore, these new artists who can hit high note or two have way more to prove if they going to fulfill the shoes of an international legendary singer like MC.

No intelligence allowed (48,341) by TiffMelody from USA
Do the Grammy's have a "no intelligence allowed" policy or is it a "no talent allowed" or what? I can't make up my mind which is it; the bias against MC is so blatantly obvious. I mean what are they going to do when more people discover the genius behind this latest album and they wonder why it didn't receive any nominations? At this point, the Grammy has as much value as a paperweight, IMO. In fact, that is exactly what I'm going to think at the awards ceremony next year. "Nice paperweight you've won there." Lol.

Someday (I Want You Back) remix (47,023) by TiffMelody from USA

I made this remix a while back. I'm not a DJ but MC and Jackson 5 sounded so cute together I couldn't resist. This is Someday and I Want You Back remixed.

Another list but with original twist MC v. Whitney (46,962) by TiffMelody from USA
These 2 ladies are known for their iconic voices and their "divafied" ballads, despite having a diverse catalog, their career are more similar than you think.
1. Both have happy-in-love song with word emotion in title. Whitney - So Emotional. MC - Emotions.
2. Both have inspirational believe in yourself ballads. Whitney - Greatest Love of All. MC - Hero.
3. Both have children featuring on their record. Whitney - My Love Is Your Love. MC - Supernatural.
4. Both made iconic holiday theme albums. Whitney's is known as best selling gospel album but is based on holiday movie, and MC's is just simply the go-to best selling Christmas album. Whitney - The Preacher's Wife. MC - Merry Christmas.
5. Both made a duet with a film reference in its title (lol). Whitney - Same Script, Different Cast with Deborah Cox. MC - It's a Wrap with Mary J. Blige.
Last one drum roll please. 6. Both took a a relatively unheard of country song and covered it so that nobody can cover it again. Whitney - I Will Always Love You. MC - Without You.

First post MC and thoughts (44,676) by TiffMelody from USA
Hi. I like this board, some of the comments are funny. What I like about MC is that she is an artist who wants to reach the average Joe through her music. I mean she is not some celeb, catering to an elite group of people. She is very deliberate in how she executes her message in her songs. So when I see MC photos I don't see the glamor image or diva photo op, but a vulnerable person. Diva image thing may be her way of showing a brave face. Based on her song lyrics, she is much a deeper person. Even her relationship songs can communicate her inner sense of vulnerability, intimate thoughts. Still, we live in a culture of making snap judgments based off photos (recent being the one at the park). The truth is we don't know MC's schedule. She could've easily had business lunch or setup dinner afterwards and she took some time out for the kids in between. Who knows? MC is very busy, and kids, they don't want to wait. The point is you don't want to be swayed by snap judgments because false perceptions can easily be made off a photo, esp. taken out of context.
