I am excited for what is to come. Anytime MC is in jeans makes me happy. I love it when she is casually dressed and looks happy and relaxed. I don't listen to French or Justin Beiber but I'm also sure that their fans don't really listen to MC, so I think this is a win.

People need to learn the difference between a voice maturing over 25 years and deterioration. MC's vocals have simply matured and I like the way she sounds. Whitney Houston, rest her soul, her voice was deteriorated. She couldn't hold note a single note, the voice was clearly gone. MC doesn't sound bad and I hate that her fans seem to have nothing but bad things to say about her and her current vocals.

Am I the only one who thinks "We Belong Together" stands on its own? I don't think any of her other songs sound like that. Even "Infinity" stands on its own. Even though a lot of songs have similar themes, they all sound different to me. I also agree that she should refrain from using the 18 #1s after the #1 To Infinity Vegas shows are over. MC has such a huge strong catalogue. I can't wait for the days when we can hear those album cuts live. Or even if she rearranged the songs like she did with "Thank God I Found You" for the fans. Bump the people that don't know the album cuts. I think it's awesome she is doing the theater again for the Christmas shows. I will most definitely be in NYC to see her. I want to see MC for 4th of July again. but I want to hear "Fourth of July", "Infinity" and "America the Beautiful". I first paid attention to MC in the 3rd grade. "Daydream" was the album and "Fantasy" was the cut. I remember asking "What does hectic mean?" Oh to be a kid again. I remember people would bring Brandy into conversation back then and even at that age, I was the fan like nope, she's your favorite singer's favorite singer. Lol.

Hey. I was at the 5/20 show. MC was great. Thank God I Found You was my favorite performance. That stripped down arrangement with just the vocal and piano took the song to another level. Like a vocal testimony that took me to church. This version of the song brought me to tears the other night. But it was kinda lame about texting to get a copy of the track for free though. Anywho, I am very happy with this promotional season. I like the fact that my favorite is still very much relevant 25 years after her debut. My girlfriend went to the show with me and she said she now understands why I love MC. She said she seems just like a really talented wealthy diva that is more down to earth than what she would've thought. My girl is also mixed so she was telling me the impact MC had on her growing up, truly something special to bond over MC with your better half. Lol.

Infinity (53,283) by clueey23 from USA
I've heard Infinty on the radio. Not like a hot hip hop and r&b station, but the grown folks r&b station, when they mix the new with the very old school. Sucks she had to cancel the show. Hopefully when I'm out there next week she doesn't cancel. I damn near think my feelings would be hurt. Lol. Anywho, I agree that it's crazy the way other artist promotions always feel larger than life and then MC gets snubbed. Also, I don't think industry people like MC because her soul is still intact and she really hasn't souled out. MC has stayed true to us and herself.

I love "Infinity". I don't understand how people judge a song. It's art not a science fair project. Here we have something totally new from our favorite and all people can do is complain. I think everything about this era has been done very well so far. I hear a hit when I hear "Infinity". I know a lot of you don't like r&b but as I've stated several times on this board, MC can sing anything, but she will always be an r&b artist, that's where her heart is. Never before has MC expressed herself like in this song before. It's very raw. Everything, the vocals, the production, seem very raw and honest. And I appreciate that she didn't put out a club banger right now because that's not where her head is at. I honestly think we will hear this song on the radio, the first since "#Beautiful". MC deserves this. Her past efforts went unnoticed not because of the material but because of the lack of simple promotion she is getting now. I can't wait to see her 5/20/15. I'm not one to judge. I honestly think we will see MC come full circle from where she was this time last year, "it's nothing that you don't already know". This song will be a hit because people will connect with this song. I'm happy that she is reintroducing her #1s because it's time. And I think we should have a new EP out before or after this Christmas project this year. Not a full album, just like 5-8 cuts, mixtape style, straight to iTunes.

Woman in black (51,011) by clueey23 from USA
So do you guys think this women is MC's handler and she is under heavy mind control? I'm confused. I know what I know and that's all I know. And I've said this several times on this board but, Hollywood and fame are scary places to be. Very dangerous. People are so money hungry that they kill people off because they feel they are worth more dead than alive. I always believed that during her Sony days she was under heavy mind control prior to the divorce.

I got tickets to the 5/20 show for Valentines. I just thought I'd share. I'm so geeked. Everything put aside I wish that MCs accomplishments would just speak for themselves. I feel that the media is this way with MC because she rarely has done any press in the last couple of years, and especially now that she is the process of divorce, which just leads to speculation. We need MC to do an Oprah Next Chapter episode. And clarify just a few things for the general public and her fans. But people this is our favorite who was basically dumped on by her husband who she thought was the love of her life. Our girl is in pain now with two babies. Be easy and empathetic to her situation off the stage. And I honestly love MC live sounding rougher than ever and all. Jamaica was a miss for some but for me it was a hit. Fantasy was rediculous, but her adlibs were pretty. We Belong Together was rediculous in the end. She made up for all of that with Shake It Off and Vision Of Love. I love it when she plays with her songs, changes the words or just clearly changes the way they were originally sung. Also people MC has personality. I've never been to a Beyoncé concert that wasn't so very calculated down to ever word that was spoken, everything like a robot. Whereas MC can sing us a song on the whem that she thought of in her head and crack jokes and make me laugh like a friend who happens to be an icon.

I think MC should just continue to take her time. I couldn't imagine being her. The hurt the pain and everything. I think she should keep pushing forward. It's obvious for anyone who took the time to watch her last concert she was actually in good voice. And to be serious MC needs a new team of about every aspect when it comes to behind the curtain. And I need MC to take rehearsals serious. And we can still get a beautiful production. I thought the Merry Christmas concert stage was beautiful. And that's what we need, more of a production to tell the story of the song being sung. A great example of this was Sia last night at the Grammys. We never see her, ever. But with this performance she brought the video to the stage. MC can do this. She needs some of us on this message board to pitch some serious ideas.

Grammys (49,977) by clueey23 from USA
MCs was there. Lol. Not literally but everyone had a MC look. It was actually as if they said the theme for this evening ladies is Mariah Carey. I mean almost every popular female had a Mariah look, even Gaga. I loved it.

#1's (49,308) by clueey23 from USA
Okay I am stoked about Vegas. Perfect move, perfect timing, perfection. Did anyone else look at the #1's ranking article and think where is "Can't Let Go"? Now you know I know it's not a #1 but a #2 record but I think I've concluded that it was definitely the one that got away. And dare I say that I actually have a favorite MC song. I was just thinking why am I a fan? I must say that I get consistent change and growth from MC. Even when the world sees her as losing, she seems to always win in my book. It's crazy but I've always said MC is a diva but she seems really down to earth in her own way. She has always come off as very human and sensitive. I can't say that about any other current superstar diva.

It's been a minute since I've posted. I just wanted to say I'm still enjoying the album. Actually now more than before simply because now I understand what she may have been going through. Wendy Williams is a hater. It's like she is still being paid to talk bad about MC like its 2001. I think she's bitter because MC gives her like zero attention. I honestly think MC and Nick will get back together. Unless Nick has actually cheated on MC on top of all of the stuff he was saying about past personal relationships. I don't think people actually realize what a sensitive spirit MC is. She is strong yes but us, as fans, know more than anyone that MC is just a strong yet fragile creature. I can't wait to see footage from the upcoming shows and also hear new material. It's sad that people don't see MC is a down to earth individual just simply living her dream that can be nightmarish at times. Anywho, she always pulls through. It actually wasn't until Glitter and her showing that she is in fact a real person and not a robot, that I became a huge fan. And I also don't think she is that "diva" part that she plays up. It's all in fun and not serious. I think once folks realize that what they see is a perception of reality and not the actual reality, it will be too late for everyone. Because if "they" own the media they can bend it all they want.

Re: Alex (45,306) by clueey23 from USA
Thank you for your post. I was beginning to feel "all alone in love" with this album and MC. It feels great to know that I'm not the only one who feels the same. Our favorite has given us what so many can't these days in this industry which is an actual piece of art, without catering to 12 year olds. I feel as if the music maybe just a little too sophisticated for today's radio sometimes and that thought is just based on what they choose to play over the music MC has released in the past couple of years.

Wow. She is gorgeous. Makeup can really do wonders. But her lips and cheekbones remind most of MC. It's like she could be her little sister or something. Or perhaps a niece that we've never known about. Great post.

I'm too busy enjoying the album itself to care about YouTube and lyric videos. At a certain age you learn to let go of what you can't change, instead of being confused and upset about it. Who knows what the future holds for this era. I'm thinking more accolades, like Grammys in 2015 instead of a quick blip on Billboards radar. I don't think MIAM needs a single to carry it actually, because the album is that freaking fantastic. And it's already had like 5 songs released to the public including "YDKWTD". What we could use is just a simple media blitz. And have her shut down all the bs that's been said about her in the past couple of months, wearing a pair of jeans and heels and a nice sexy chic top, with her hair pulled back so everyone can look into her eyes, so people can understand that she is a grown woman with grown woman responsibilities. And I could care less really about how the public/media is trying to portray her. What would be even better is if she just uploaded a nice little video just to say hi and thank us for our support and update us with what might be happening in the near future.

I feel like I'm the only one who couldn't care less now for a radio smash hit and a video. Who watches music videos? I just don't have the time. I buy music but rarely listen to the radio anyways. I will say I hope that she tours to support the project. I also like the surprise element and "Maybach" moments MC has given us in these past few months. I'm not the type of fan who buys MC's perfumes, clothes, shoes, water. I am strictly a fan of the music. I think we should switch the word "negative" to the phrase, "care too much".

Thoughts (44,682) by clueey23 from USA
Why must every little thing MC does like riding the subway in a Versace gown be taken so seriously? It was a moment that just happened to make headlines and she looked great doing so. But Gaga walks around like a true nutcase Illuminati monster puppet and the world adores it, Miley Cyrus gives blow jobs to blow up dolls and the world still moves. Beyoncé and Rihanna move records but I honestly never get the best vibes from their music. Heaven forbid MC just does what she wants to do though.

Does "One More Try" remind anyone else of "Never Forget You"? Very nostalgic. MC put her all into this album and it's sad that so many people are so focused and worried about what they can't control. Just enjoy the music. Let the music execs worry about all that political bull. This album in my eyes is like a soap opera. From beginning to end. I love the remixes because they actually add to the story that she has told in the first half before she brings us to the deluxe. Notice that "It's A Wrap" has the same record playing sound as "Heavenly". It's all about the details. I think the duets are genius. Mary J. Blige holds back vocally and I appreciate that because on the record she is playing the role of a supportive friend. R. Kelly is one of the best writers to ever do it. Period. And he adds so much more depth to the song. It was already deep and he took it to another level. If you all aren't a fan of r&b and hip-hop or soul, I just really feel like you couldn't really understand MC at the core of who she truly is as an artist. I told you once and I'm gonna say it again she is an R&B artist that happens to be POPular. It just happens to be that R&B isn't that popular anymore. Congratulations to MC and team for having the #1 R&B album.

Random (44,677) by clueey23 from USA
This is random but, my alarm clock ringer is "Meteorite". Something about, "Gotta get up, cause you know the world is waiting." Lol. Not to mention one of my other favs Eddie Kendricks of the Temptations is practically featured with his song "Goin' Up In Smoke". I love the fact that they kept his vocals. A lot of artist sample his work but never really give credit where credit is due.

Daydream 327 / thoughts (44,595) by clueey23 from USA
Thank you for your post. This messageboard can be draining at times with the negativity. But I agree with your post and a few others that are speaking more in the vein of artistry instead of sales figures and hit singles. I've stated it before but, I love this album. The only thing that I can ask of MC is to continue to do her and grow.

To be honest, thoughts (44,042) by clueey23 from USA
This era, I couldn't really care less about sales or hits. The music on this album is beyond everything that is being put out in the industry. I think I wanna sit back and just enjoy the masterpiece that is MIAMTEC. I couldn't care less about Billboard, anyone who gives Jennifer Lopez a music icon award has lost credibility. Some folks just don't want to face the fact that MIAMTEC is beyond anything on "Beyonce". And speaking of Beyonce, Billboard would still have my respect if at least Beyonce received that icon award. I am in love with the album as a whole, but "You make the beat go" gets me everytime. I adore "Supernatural".

Re: Darryle (43,993) by clueey23 from USA
You are spot on. I was thinking the same thing listening last night. Those notes are in the same key as "All In Your Mind". There are a lot of moments on this album where you can hear her inspiration came from her earlier work. Like when she sings in "Faded", "you whisper in my ear but in the morning you're not here" reminds me of "All Alone in Love". There are many moments throughout the album that are very nostalgic. Love it.

Me. I Am Mariah... thoughts (43,937) by clueey23 from USA
"Camouflage" is like "Cry" in the sense that it's just on another level. Background vocals are just something to always be admired when it comes to MC. I'm mean from the very beginning of this song, the backgrounds are amazingly haunting. Hearing "Money" and this sample is giving me life. I have to say, "One More Try" is my least favorite. Maybe it'll grow on me. "Heavenly" is that business. I feel like this album is just MC at her best. MC is giving me everything with this album and the promotion. If you go back and read some of my post this promotion mirrors everything I wanted but on such a larger scale because MC is the best of the best. Sonically, it's like she said, I'm making no compromises. And I thank her for that because this is her most mature album in a long time. This is "Memoirs" and "Butterfly" stripped down to the bones. I'm happy that everything was worth the wait. All of the arguing on the board has subsided because we literally have nothing bad to say about this masterpiece now added to a catalogue of greatness.

Me. I Am Mariah thoughts (43,932) by clueey23 from USA
Not only is this album amazing but it's almost as if MC is in my head. Everything down to the Eddie Kendricks sample of "Going Up in Smoke" on "Mediorite". That's literally my two most favorite voices on a track. I now understand why I love MC and all the people she chooses to work with, similar musical influence and taste. Thank you QTip for that song "Mediorite". Cry is just on another level. Faded would blow up if released but love it so much, I'm stingy, not everyone should have the pleasure. Dedicated with the WuTang sample and Nas is amazing. I have so much love for the vibe that song gives me. #Beautiful, You're Mine and The Art of Letting Go sit so well in this package. Thirsty is a banger with and without Rich Homie Quan. Make It Look Good sounds so classic. Stevie on that hermonica is just like the cherry on top. His laugh at the beginning damn near brought tears to my eyes. That intro on "You Don't Know What to Do" is so above and beyond everything currently being played on radio. This song with Wale is so real, reminding me of a past relationship. "Now that I've found myself, you're aching to be mine." That scatting she does is everything. "Supernatural" literally brings to my eyes. "You make the beat, you make the beat go." Such a beautiful and natural love song for her family. Most def an "Impossible" part 2. That key change tugs at my heart strings. Not to mention her babies singing sounding so talented, those adlibs at the end of the song.
