About Ryan from the Philippines: What I love about Mariah is her unique vocal abilities: from hitting the lowest to highest possible notes, amazing background vocals skills, fluid voice layering, etc. IMO, she's the only singer who can do almost all singing techniques out there perfectly. That is to include her songwriting prowess. Not to mention how many times her songs Make It Happen, Hero and Through The Rain saved my life. Our lives.

New single (43,508) by Ryan from the Philippines
Mariah Carey to debut a new single in 3 hours. This info came from DJ Envy of Power 105.1. Worldwide premier is at 9 AM on The Breakfast Club. There's no news yet as to what specific single will be released but speculations came floating that it is going to be "Thirsty". I'm not ready.

Surprise (42,983) by Ryan from the Philippines
What the label and Mariah meant about the "surprise" thing was not about the release date. It's all about the album title, cover art, lead single, tracklisting, albumcontent (if it is audio plus video or documentary). It cannot be a surprise release since Mariah has already given a target date. So these magazine must do their jobs correctly. It's not even Beyonce-ish but Ashanti-ish type of release. The label or Mariah has to clear this mess up or else the media won't stop dragging her. It's not always the lambs who will keep defending her. They must also do their job. Nonetheless if they are milking on this issue.

Oh no, Billboard (42,870) by Ryan from the Philippines
Billboard can't keep a secret. Lol. I can't with them spilling the beans of Mariah's "all-at-once digital release" in their latest magazine issue. On the cover is an amazingly looking and classy Mariah. Her face on the photo will truly remind you of the Music Box cover. Will it be the album cover art? We'll see.

Behold (42,792) by Ryan from the Philippines
Just in: Mariah Carey's highly anticipated new album is scheduled to be released digitally anytime this week and to be followed by the physical album release on May 6th. I don't know how reliable this is, but let's hope for the better. Getting excited.

MC 5/6 (42,777) by Ryan from the Philippines
IMO, Mariah should just release the album on that promised date. The chaos that's been going on in the lamb world is getting worst and if she decides for another push back, she might lose more and more fans along the way. Mariah, just release it on 5/6, the album will tank if it's gonna tank. So what if it flops? What's new? It already happened to her recent singles. What the team (Mariah, label and others) can do is to promote it everywhere (radio, YouTube, iTunes, tv, awards show) to back up its release. That is the only card they can throw at this point in concern to Mariah's current career situation. And please, not another Beyonce-type of release. Sony can back her up with all the means for her, Island is just duh, whatever (censored). The fans have been waiting for so long and already have exhausted all the understandings from the delays but I think we've had enough and it's getting messy. How many revamps does the album need? When in fact until now none of the released singles from the album went to atleast top 10 on the Hot 100. So it's better to just release it, work it out, and prepare for the next one.

Suspicious silence (42,737) by Ryan from the Philippines
With the overwhelming silence that's going on right now, I am truly having a feeling that Mariah's team is cooking up something big on May 6th. I tried to be skeptical about the release but no, I think it's really going to happen as promised and it'll surprise not just us but the non-fans as well. I am also having a feeling that the album will be released initially online on 5/5 and the new single and video the following day. It could be Thirsty. Title-wise, it's a single material and as far as I can remember, Mariah said in an interview that she cannot wait for us to hear Thirsty on 5/6. Having said of the difference of the dates, it could mean that the album won't have a lead single for a day. If you remember, Mariah stressed that she wanted us to hear the album in its entirety and not merely focus on a specific single for us to get the whole story behind it. So, that day ahead online release would make sense with her goal. That's how I see it now, and I hope it'll happen. We'll see, soonest.

Snippets (42,702) by Ryan from the Philippines
Are those fake? It sounds so real to me. If that would be the sound of the new album then I'm definitely buying it the first day.

Album not yet done, for real? (42,687) by Ryan from the Philippines
Now, I don't understand what they are trying to show the people and the fans. They've been working really hard on this old but new project since 2010, pushed back a couple of times until finally (I hope it's the last) settled for a 5/6 release. Yet now the release date is just around the corner, MC and JD are still posting photos of them and others people at the studio, recording, finishing, mixing yada yada. It seemed like she can compile a 3-disk album with all those years spent. Nonetheless, if she scrapped everything, then she's trying to pull a recording session a la Rainbow (made in less than 3 months). Or are all these for the drama? What if the album is already done months ago? I think they're just wanting the people to believe like "hey, we did this album in a last minute" or "we started from scratched in 2014" yet the songs sound well produced and not hurried that will lead people to praise her for doing this rather Superwoman-like act. If they're not finished, how can they reproduce and ship the physical albums prior to the date specified? Or are they releasing it only via online music stores? Where's the new song, the video? Ugh, this is frustrating but yes, exciting. While the date is coming closer, the wait is also killing me. I really don't know what's going on inside. I cannot wait to see MC's "big surprise" for us.

Lol. There is actually a rumored track off MC's 5/23 album called "Hurricane".

We're on the way (42,564) by Ryan from the Philippines
So happy to know and see the promotions have started to roll prior for the May 6th release. I hope the team won't let any dead air to come in between to sustain the buzz about the new album, no more delaying, wiser single choices, better videos, better image (Mariah please darken your hair, it'll make you look younger), genuine performance and speaking of it, I hope we get to see her sing back to back on different TV shows once the new/official single drops. It's undisputed that this era is so crucial for MC like if the song doesn't get to atleast top 10, the people will call her flop, so I just wish everyone's gonna work their a**es out including her. And yes, I like "Supernatural", they better name the album after it. No confirmation from the queen though, so I'll just stay perched for the mean time.

Mariah's cheek (42,520) by Ryan from the Philippines
Mariah always have prominent cheeks ever since (see some of her younger pics) just like her mom. And it makes her cheeks look bigger especially when she gains weight. But even if she has the weight, she can actually have that slimmer looking face on her pics or in some videos courtesy of make-up called contouring. That's the miracle Kristoffer does to her.

Title? (42,495) by Ryan from the Philippines
Hmmm I'd like to make it short and simple like "MC".

Facebook photo note (42,481) by Ryan from the Philippines
I'd like to complete her sentence: "Not too much pronunciation. It's very E.A.S.Y. 'To Love Me'." Lol. Now she wants us to be good inventors. But I'm on for the game if she wants us too. Yes, To Love Me sounds cute and sweet and not too heavy-hearted as compared to the previous album title. But E.A.S.Y. sounds more matured and current. Now I can't wait for the title.

Best/worst cover art (42,196) by Ryan from the Philippines
Best cover art (album):
1. Butterfly (just beautiful and classic)
2. The Emancipation of Mimi (Ultra Platinum Edition)
3. #1's (her best black and white album cover art)
Worst cover art (album):
1. Glitter (Ugh, the photoshop they did on her waist looked like it was done by an unprofessional/untrained/novice editor. He should be nailed for doing it. Lol.)
2. Greatest Hits (I only based this back when I was not a big fan yet and I happened to see this album and I thought she looked old on that cover, but..)
3. MTV Unplugged (lol for the hair but she looked cute and happy though)
Best cover art (single):
1. We Belong Together
2. My All
3. Underneath The Stars
Worst cover art (single):
1. I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time
2. #Beautiful
3. Breakdown

Mariah on a friend (42,040) by Ryan from the Philippines
Mariah recently twitted, "Been praying and singing for my friend today. With you here in spirit. Hebrews 11." If I am not overanalyzing, was she talking about the late Whitney Houston? If I am right, then the Whitney cover might be coming to reality. I just can't wait for it. And yes, I am also hungry for a pop uptempo song. Bring on "Thirsty" as the official lead single Mariah. Scrap #Beautiful, TAOLG and You're Mine for the mean time. Better rearrange it, remaster or re-sung (YM will sound good in acapella with a guitar) and save it for an album re-release.

BET performance (41,696) by Ryan from the Philippines
I am actually impressed with the kind of production they did with the song. It was simple but classy. I hope this is the start that Mariah will show up to different TV shows and perform (after a string of radio interviews). The label per se should give this song a chance. This can be a big hit if it would be introduced to a bigger audience.

You're Mine / WBT (41,389) by Ryan from the Philippines
I have to disagree that YM and its lyrics sound dated. Yes, it's giving me this 90's throwback feel yet sounding really current and fresh. I am loving the melody, I'm loving the music, the background vocals, etc. And the her main vocals sound so Daydream/Butterfly-ish. It's funny that some compare it to WBT, DFAU and even TMB like for real, TMB? Lol. Even the slightest of WBT, I don't hear anything like it, except for what they are saying it's the sustained high chest note at the end. But please, it has been one of her trademark vocals since day 1. YM's sustained chest note even shifts to another octave. Amidst all this negativity from some, not so delighted people here, I would like to give the song hats off for having earned a modest 5M audience impression (as of this writing) despite the fact that initial release made last February 12th was only at few radio stations in the US. I believe, official radio release is pushed on the 17th. And yes lambies and TEOM die-hard fans, finally, We Belong Together has now reached the 100M mark on Youtube, making it Carey's first ever Vevo certified video. These are all just positive comments for the love. Congrats Mimi.

Video (41,336) by Ryan from the Philippines
The rants against her videos are pointless too. I mean, when did she always have the best videos? If she has 50 songs released in her entire career, only 25% of those had good videos (specifically TEOM era when Island invested so much on her). One Sweet Day, as one of her biggest songs ever, didn't have a good video as well just IMO. As what I have pointed out with regards to TEOM, a song accompanied by a good video depends on the support of the label. I see when it comes to Mariah they always resort to cost-cutting, and I see where Mariah is coming if she won't give her 200% too. And the problem is, people are just over-expecting. In a nutshell, I have moved on since the "Bye Bye" video. The sad truth, IDJ won't be spending that much for Mariah anymore. But "You're Mine (Eternal)" is still good though only those who have common sense will appreciate and understand the video.

Understanding the video (41,203) by Ryan from the Philippines
I actually like the video. It's simple yet classy. As I understand, Mariah plays as a goddess (mermaid and butterfly) who fell in love with a guy from the city played by Trey. I disagree that it's another vanity video, it's actually so emotional.

YME video (41,172) by Ryan from the Philippines
Ok, so I saw this still photo of Mariah herself in the YME video and it looks absolutely stunning. Indrani have made something so magical. I just wondered why IDJ did not choose a still photo from the video and use it as the cover art for You're Mine. But ok, those candies still looked cute.

You're Mine video cause (41,122) by Ryan from the Philippines
What I love reading about the video they made in a Puerto Rican rainforest is she wanted to raise awareness about protecting and preserving the environment for us and the coming generations to enjoy. What a kind heart she has. Long live the queen!

You're Mine (41,071) by Ryan from the Philippines
After hearing the live audio (which by the way I thought a real good song/the best ballad so far), it makes me kinda think what was that Mariah and Trey at the set photo, or the Puerto Rican jungle shoot or the alleged uptempo track that sounded like TEOM's "Your Girl" that insiders were talking about? One thing I noticed, YM has a little YG melody at the chorus too. What if "You're Mine" is really an uptempo track, and that BET performance was just an alternative version or a ballad version? What if Mariah is so clever that she decided to tone down the performance because she wanted to protect the original version and that she already knew it would eventually leak? What do you think guys?

Can't Get You Off My Mind (41,058) by Ryan from the Philippines
I'm in love with the song! It's the best since Don't Forget About Us.

Yes, Mariah! (41,029) by Ryan from the Philippines
I'm glad Mariah is making headlines with her recent performance on BET and that fab diva dress. Just in time for the new single.
