Mariah wants James Packer to buy her an L.A. mansion

Mariah Carey won't let her increasingly bitter breakup reach its swansong without putting up a fight. The powerhouse vocalist refuses to leave the lavish mansion she called home with ex-fiancé James Packer and wants him to purchase another high-priced property in Los Angeles for her as part of an exorbitant settlement, TMZ reports.
The 46-year-old singer - who had reportedly been ordered to leave the home after her recent split with Packer - is holding for a whopping $50 million from the billionaire overall, according to the celebrity gossip site. She reportedly believes she's entitled to that eye-popping sum since she relocated her family to Los Angeles, coupled with the fact she canceled part of her tour following the surprising separation.
Additionally, the "We Belong Together" singer thinks former Scientology honcho Tommy Davis is to blame for their split since he allegedly grumbled to Packer that he spent too much of his fortune on gifts for Carey, according to TMZ. Carey contends things with Packer changed after Davis began giving him advice, sources close to the songstress told the gossip site. Packer, 49, could reportedly reply to Carey's request for a Los Angeles home as early as Monday.
News of the pop diva and the Australian businessman's breakup surfaced last week, but the former lovebirds reportedly haven't seen each other since last month, when they got into a fight while yachting in Greece. Another contentious point in their relationship was Carey's bond with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka, who Packer thought had been making moves on his fiancée.
Carey has been spotted with Tanaka multiple times since calling off the engagement, including on Saturday night when the duo left The Catch restaurant together in Los Angeles and departed in the same car. The "Always Be My Baby" singer noticeably wasn't wearing her engagement ring during the public outing. A rep for Tanaka, meanwhile, said the dancer won't comment on the drama.
Packer and Carey got engaged this past January. The publicist for the singer did not immediately respond to the Daily News' request for comment.

I have so many questions about this article. Why does she need him to buy her another house? She's worth $500 million (I heard) she can buy her own house. Why does JP need to offer a settlement on anything? They aren't married, he doesn't owe her anything. Wasn't her LA house rented and doesn't he have his own LA house separate from the house she was staying in? Why does she have so many demands when she never made it down the aisle? Why is Stella or whomever in charge allowing these articles to portray Mariah as a selfish, gold digging, cheating lunatic? Lol.
