Mariah Carey enjoys intimate dinner with backup dancer
|
Mariah Carey's worked up an appetite for romance. The 46-year-old was snapped at the West Hollywood eatery Berri's Cafe Wednesday with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka, who she's been spending lots of time with in the wake of her recent split with billionaire James Packer.
The Love Takes Times singer was a vision of beauty in a creme-colored jacket with a low-cut white top, tight blue denim jeans and leopard skin heels that matched with her purse. She wore her brown-blondish locks down and beamed on the warm Southern California evening.
Tanaka - a self-described "artist, choreographer, dancer, actor" and "influencer", per his Instagram page - was dressed to the nines in a stylish blue jacket with black trim, a black shirt, black pants and white and gold Air Jordans. The 33-year-old dancer has known the 46-year-old Emotions songstress for years, and has been spotted out with her numerous times in Los Angeles the past week. On Monday, he was seen trick-or-treating with Carey and her daughter Monroe in Calabasas, where the trio used a golf cart to travel around.
Tanaka's cozy relationship with the Someday singer was a point of contention in her relationship with the Australian billionaire, so much so that the powerful business magnate used his connections to have the nimble-footed hunk barred from the grounds of Caesar's Palace, where Mariah performs as part of a residency, TMZ reported.
The decree came in June, while Tanaka was sidelined from performing with a hurt knee, so Carey did not push the issue, according to the outlet. The previous month, Carey raised eyebrows when she gave her backup a spicy lap dance on stage during a Johannesburg, South Africa show.
In related news, The New York Post on Wednesday reported that Carey was so anxious to tie the knot with Packer, she personally called ex-husband Nick Cannon, the father of her five-year-old twins Monroe and Morrocan, to sign papers in their long-running divorce to free her up to wed Packer in Bora Bora next March 1.
Despite Cannon's cooperation, her relationship with Packer came to a halt in September when the two had a blowout fight, which led to the end of their relationship.

What is with this going out with Tanaka every darn night and calling the paparazzi? Even Kim K keeps it more low profile than this. Seriously if she really wants people to believe she is dating this dude, she'll need to down play it a little more because now it's starting to look really fake. I'm expecting staged "Caught kissing in the back booth" pictures right about any time now. This is beyond ridiculous. What has gotten into Mariah?

She seems to be on auto-pilot to sillyville. But I'm sure Stella and crew are rolling tape to get all of this for the reality show. Lol. I read someone's comments on TMZ, that "she is only half way through a ten story package", so they must have them lined up from now until the show airs. Please keep me informed of how the show does because I can't actually watch it. Give me a heads up if Roc and Roe will be on the show, I might check in for that. I hope she is OK.

I've always admirered Mariah for being private and professional. I looked up to her almost my whole life, but does any of you know what went wrong? I hate the fact that she is now compared to Kardashians and to all the fake people in show business. I hear Mary Blidge in my mind saying: You're Mariah Carey remember? I wish she would remember and stop this weird circus. The image is ruining her talent and legendary music she made since 1990. Sorry lambs I don't want to be that negative and I have hope for a "happy end" or better era but at the moment the press and all the stuff around her makes me sad. The song "Do you know where you're going to" is saying what I ask myself.

I'll just wait for this mess to be over. Literally I'm feeling turned off by how Mariah is aprroving all of this like this is the same woman who are always imposing to everyone that she is just a musician all through out and will not depend on gimmicks. This is just beyond, it's f*cked up.
