Illinois fan gathering
On June 26th, we Illinois lambs had our second fan gathering at a Wise Girls-esque Italian restaurant. The group was small but cozy, which made conversation a little easier. The main entertainment of the night occurred when our crazy waitress came over to get our drink orders. As she was about to walk away, she noticed Kathy's Honey B. Fly shirt, and she, without any hint from us, asked, "Is that a Mariah Carey shirt?" So when we told her that it was and that we were having a fanclub outing, she said "Ok, I gotta talk Mariah with you guys" and proceeded to blow off her other customers. (Ha ha ha! Well, in the midst of our animated conversation about MC, she did seem to forget to bring another table their check.)
Meanwhile, one of group brought a shirt worn by Mariah in "Glitter", and once our waitress saw it, she came back with another waitress, who walked up and said "Alright, where's the Mariah shirt?" Lol. Our original waitress mentioned that she hadn't heard "Charmbracelet" yet, but that she loved "Through The Rain". So Helen whipped out the "Through The Rain" single and gave her a brand new copy. The waitress was really touched and gave us a free appetizer. That's us, promoting MC and spreading love and generosity to all the not-yet-lambs out there.
We had a wonderful dinner, and ended the night listening to Mariah's new song with Jadakiss in the parking lot, as well as some other rare Mariah songs.
