The Adventures Of Mimi has begun
Yesterday, The Adventures Of Mimi officially started in Miami, Florida. Mariah already gave two concerts in Tunis, Tunisia and one in Los Angeles, California, but these are not counted as part of the tour. Busta Rhymes opened the show at 20:30, and Mariah entered the stage at 22:00. Her show lasted for two hours.
Mariah performed live songs from all her discography but especially tracks off her latest album, The Emancipation Of Mimi. This is the first major concert where Mariah did not sing "Vision Of Love", but the set list covered her greatest hits. According to different sources, Mariah will change the set list every so often.
Mariah was fabulous and she spoke a lot to the audience. She said she loved being on the second stage since that's where the heart of the people where at. But due to some technical issues during "Don't Forget About Us", Mariah only performed three songs from the second stage: "Fantasy" (remix), "Don't Forget About Us" and "Always Be My Baby". There was no chair dance for "Fantasy".
The concert was not sold out, but an estimated 90% of the seats were taken. Tour programs were not yet available, they will be available after the third show. There was a lot of other merchandise for ridiculous prices, like $20.00 for a mug. But one fan got her sunglasses for free after Mariah threw them in the clowd.
