Mariah in Miami
I was so exited and looking forward to see in person this "too good to be true diva". I have followed Mariah's career since her debut in 1990 and I was pleased to confirm that she is for real and that her voice and beauty are overwhelming.
About the show. The stage was fabulous in every way, lights, coreography, details, the 2nd little stage, everything was first class and visually enjoyable. Her outfits were breathtaking. She looks simply gorgeous in all of them. The song selection was a little dissappointing. I know that she has so many hits under her belt, but I expected a medley of her greatest ballads, including Vision Of Love, Love Takes Time, I Don't Wanna Cry, Anytime You Need A Friend, Without You, Against All Odds, I Still Believe, Through The Rain and of course Someday and Emotions in a different one.
My favorite moments were when Mimi signs "Hero", "Fantasy", "Make it happen" and "We belong Together". I guess that if I add all her performances, it will be a 1 hour show. The abrupt interruptions for her outfit changes are logical, but having playing the guest DJ other artists songs, take away from you the magic of being in a Mariah concert. I read that her outfit changes were going to take 30 seconds or 1 minute long. It did not happen that way.
Conclusion: It was about "quality" and "quantity" but I am sure that with Mariah Carey we can have both with more creativity, without having to put in risk or tireness, the diva's voice. You go girl. You are proving the whole world why you are one of the most successful and best selling female singers in the world. (Miguel Molina)
