Mariah Carey's "Oh Santa" arrives
Mariah Carey has finally given the first taste to her upcoming holiday album "Merry Christmas II You". Debuted on PopEater, the fresh single is titled "Oh Santa" and comes from production hands of duo Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox.
As Christmas comes closer, the wife of Nick Cannon in her holiday spirit reveals her wish to Santa Claus. "Santa's gon' come and make him mine this Christmas," she sings on the track which is filled with hand-claps and jingling sleigh bells.
"Oh Santa" is one of the four original songs composed by Carey for the follow-up to her 1994 "Merry Christmas". The other songs include cover version of holiday classics such as "The First Noel", "Little Drummer Boy", "O Little Town of Bethlehem" and "O Come All Ye Faithful" as well as a remix of her 1994 hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You".
"Merry Christmas II You" is due November 2 in the United States. "American Idol" 's judge Randy Jackson, award-winning composer Marc Shaiman and James Poyser (acclaimed music maker for Aretha Franklin, The Roots, Lauryn Hill and more) are contributing to the effort. (AceShowbiz)
