Mariah's "You're Mine" debuts on R&B, Hot 100 charts

Mariah Carey's new single, "You're Mine (Eternal)", has arrived on the charts. With first week sales of 32,000, the single entered the Billboard Hot 100 Thursday at no.88. It's Carey's forty-sixth single to chart on the Hot 100, the single also debuted on R&B and Hip Hop charts.

"The ballad is Carey's 46th Hot 100 hit, as well as her first non-collaboration/non-cover/non-holiday entry since 'Obsessed' became her 27th and most recent top 10 (reaching No. 7) in 2009," reports Billboard. On the strength of a promotional tour, that included stops at MTV and BET, Carey's single debuts at no.12 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs chart and no. 15 on the Hot R&B Songs tally.

As previously reported, this single is important for Carey, who will release an album titled "The Art of Letting Go" in May. Carey's taped performance of "You're Mine (Eternal)" airs on BET Honors Monday, February 24 on BET.

You're Mine (Eternal) is a R&B song and it peaked at #12 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs chart and #15 on the Hot R&B Songs chart. It wasn't and isn't a flop.

I love You're Mine. I still listen to it on a regular basis. I wish she would have performed it more often. She never sang it on the Elusive Chanteuse show, right? I wonder why. Maybe because it's about Nick? I don't know.
