Britney: My flick won't tank like Mariah's did
Pop tart Britney Spears isn't worried that her movie will be tagged a turkey like rival diva Mariah Carey's disastrous debut. "I don't think it's easy. It wasn't easy for me," Spears told the Toronto Sun. "I'm very, very happy with the movie, so we'll see what happens. I'll be curious to see."
Carey's thespian debut in "Glitter" was lambasted by critics, then crashed and burned at the box office. Spears thinks her debut will fare better. But "Crossroads" - which premieres tonight in Los Angeles - has already come under fire from the superstar's young fans as being too icky. The singer-turned-actress plays a goody-two-shoes valedictorian who loses her virginity on a road trip. (New York Post)
