Map of the most listened artists by state in the USA

Surprise, surprise! While you were told there within minutes as Britney Spears and Rihanna are part of the ranking of the People's Choice Awards 2017, there are other artists who have something to smile about today. Yes, the site Brilliant Maps has recently shared a map (made by a redditor) of the most influential artists in the United States and it is clear that some names make us more than happy.

As the site makes clear, Madonna, Prince or Elvis Presley are particularly popular in only one state. The reason? It's simple! This map highlights the most popular artists in the state in which they originate. Although the site does not clearly explain how the card was produced and what criteria were chosen, it goes without saying that the number of records sold and the impact of artists on radio were important factors.

Of course, we are the first to be delighted that Kanye West is the most listened artist in Georgia, State where it originates. For the small reminder, Kim Kardashian's husband was born on June 8, 1977 in Atlanta. Besides, the popularity of Hawaii Bruno Mars will surprise no one since, as Barack Obama, the interpreter of "24K Magic" was born in Honolulu.

And while you were offered there is little to discover the first performance of the Fifth Harmony without Camila Cabello the People's Choice Awards 2017, you will notice that Lil Wayne is a hit in Louisiana, The Fray is tops in Colorado, the Backstreet Boys prevail in Florida, Michael Jackson is the star of Indiana, Toni Braxton top in Maryland, Madonna is the queen of Michigan, Prince of Minnesota, Elvis Presley is the god of the Mississippi. Add to this Eminem in Missouri, The Killers in Nevada, Whitney Houston in New Jersey, Wiz Khalifa in North Dakota, Mariah Carey in New York and Taylor Swift in Pennsylvania! And you, what do you think of this card?
