Her 15th studio album, Caution, dropped earlier this morning. And Mariah Carey couldn't wipe the smile off of her face as she stepped out for a day of press in New York City on Friday. The 48-year-old kept warm while still showcasing her enviable hourglass physique in a form-fitting ensemble.
Mariah opted for a simple black top underneath a cropped biker jacket. She teamed the look with a figure-hugging skirt that reached to just above her ankles. The 5'8" beauty added to her stature with a pair of platform closed-toe Christian Louboutin heels.
Mariah accessorised her glam look with a pair of trendy shades and added some very large round hoops. The R&B diva's glam was kept bronzed with blushed cheekbones and complete with a nude glossy lip.
Through the new songs, Mariah says she wants fans to comprehend their value in a relationship and not make due with someone who demonstrates anything but the respect they deserve. "The funny thing is I didn't call it Caution because I'm, like, 'Ooh, I am being cautious.' It's just because of a song called Proceed With Caution. It's more of a wary love song," the mother-of-two spouted. "The song is about telling someone to make sure they treat you right."
Following her announcement of new music a month ago, Mariah additionally uncovered that she'll be going on a world tour in support of her latest album. Also on Thursday, nearly 20 years after it debuted, the album for the Hero singer's box office bomb, Glitter, managed to sky rocket to the top of iTunes.
"I have to dedicate today's #tbt to Glitter, which is currently #1 on the iTunes albums chart, 17 years after its release and on the eve of my new album release," the songbird wrote on Instagram. She added: "My fans are the best."
