Mariah Carey has slammed reports that accuse her of cheating on her ex-fiancé, James Packer. The Daily Mail posted a video of the singer giving a lap dance to her boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka. Now there is nothing wrong with Carey giving her man a special treat. The problem is the footage was allegedly shot in March 2016, when the now couple was not even together. He was at the time one of her tour dancers.
Fans may recall in the spring of 2016, the mother of two was engaged to Packer. The website reminds readers of that very fact. Packer popped the question to the Glitter star in early 2016, but the union was short-lived. By the fall of the same year, they were over. Not long after the split, Carey began dating Tanaka and now the timing of the lap is mighty suspicious.
The video was obtained exclusively by DailyMailTV. It was reportedly shot at Hotel D'Angleterre in Copenhagen when Carey and company were in Demark for one of her concerts. In the clip, the singer is seen grinding all over her now backup dancer boyfriend. She is dressed in scantily clad clothing, part of which is a little skirt Tanaka pulls at during the dance.
"They were clearly more than just friends even then. It was so flirtatious, and there was so obviously something going on," an unnamed source, who allegedly witnessed the incident, shared with the Daily Mail.
However, before the crazed cheating scandal allegations begin flooding social media, the singer is setting the record straight and slamming any claims she was unfaithful. "We have not been privy to the content in question and cannot confirm from whence it came nor when. However, as stated numerous times in the past, Mariah is not polyamorous," a rep for the ‘We Belong Together’ singer shared in a statement to ET Canada.
Mariah Carey is known for being a diva and getting her own way. One thing she wants to make crystal clear though is that she is not a cheater. The timeline may seem a little suspicious, but her rep insists she did not cheat on James Packer with her then backup dancer and now boy toy Bryan Tanaka
The singer has not commented on the accusations herself. She is letting her rep do all the talking, and for now, that is enough.
