Mariah Carey thanks fans for 30 amazing years

Mariah Carey is letting her fans know just how much their love and support has meant to her after all her years in the music business. The 50-year-old took to social media to thank her "lambily" for 30 years of "love and dreams" realized. Carey fans call themselves "lambs".

Alongside a photo of herself on the cover photo for Vision Of Love, Carey wrote, "May 15, 1990 - the day we first 'met'. Thank you lambily for giving me a lifetime of love and dreams realized. I've realized a dream and I visualized the love that came to be. Feel so alive, I'm so thankful that I've received the answer that heaven has sent down to me." The last bit reflects lyrics from Vision Of Love, the song that launched Carey's career.

It's hard to believe that 30 years has gone by since this song hit the airwaves, and looking back, Carey has come a long way. She has sold more than 200 million records. Her career is still going well, and Carey's diva attitude is as strong as ever.

Carey has had two children, a couple of marriages, and lots of ups and downs along the way. Her first moments in the spotlight will never be forgotten, as fans were introduced to her mind-blowing multi-octave voice and saw the stunning singer belt out beautiful music.

Today's version of Carey is chic and confident, a far cry from the somewhat held-back woman who burst onto the scene way back when. Aside from her killer vocals, Carey seemed down-to-earth and excited to be recognized when she first introduced herself to the masses. Fast forward, and now everyone knows who Carey is. She's a worldwide sensation, and as far as stars go, she's one of the brightest.

Perhaps this 30-year anniversary will prompt Carey to release a remix of the song or a redo. That said, the original version probably can't be beat. Congrats to Carey on this milestone in music. All the "lambs" out there are cheering. Here's to another 30 years!
