Mariah Carey is getting candid. For, the elusive chanteuse is now questioning the reason why she has never won a VMA. On April 9, Carey had an exchange with a fan on Twitter after the fan pointed out that Carey has had plenty of songs, videos, and albums that could've been eligible for a VMA.

The fan said in their tweet: "The fact that Mariah Carey never won a VMA and still hasn't won a Vanguard award don't sit right with me. Get it together MTV VMAS." This led the "We Belong Together" singer to respond with a GIF from her "Honey" remix video, saying: "Yeah. MTV how have I offended thee? Nary an award?"

Across her illustrious career, MiMi has scored six total VMA nominations, her most recent one was in 2008 for her song "Touch My Body". Other videos of hers to be nominated, include: "One Sweet Day", "Shake It Off", and "I Know What You Want". As of reporting, MTV has not responded.
