Mariah Carey has a new title for Dolly Parton - the queen of everything! The 76-year-old singer responded after picking up on a recent interview of Dolly's, where she pointed out that Mariah was the Queen of Christmas and not her.
In Dolly's interview with Better Homes & Gardens in support of her upcoming holiday special, it was suggested that Dolly "might be the new queen of Christmas". However, she didn't want that title.
"Now, don't you say that! I'm not going to compete with Mariah," Dolly told the outlet. "I love her. You think of Christmas, you think of Mariah. I'm happy to be second in line to her."
After seeing Dolly's quote, Mariah took to Twitter to respond. "Dolly, let's settle this one," she wrote. "You are the queen of everything! The queen of the world, the queen of Christmas, the queen of mine. Love you!"
Dolly Parton's Mountain Magic Christmas will air on Thursday, December 1 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
