Consequently, many users have opposed the plans, while some former employees have even resigned from their posts at the firm.
Understandably, Mariah Carey has got a massive fan following across her social network handles. So her sudden statement of cutting ties with Twitter has seemingly disappointed most of her fans. Elon Musk's decision to charge verified Twitter users $8 per month has sparked outrage among netizens. Therefore, Carey might as well have displayed her take on the issue.
Carey made a post on her official Twitter account using a GIF image of herself with the words, "K bye..." One of her fans reacted to the post by writing, "Thanks for the memories on this app Mimi!" Another fan wrote, "Queen it's time to bring back 'Honey B Fly'." One more fan wrote, "Noooooo queen create a discord chat or smth with all the lambs."
Therefore, most followers of Carey that saw her post expressed their heartbreak over Carey's decision. However, Carey hasn't yet explained the exact reason behind leaving Twitter.
