Barbra's finally flown the co-op

Barbra Streisand finally unloaded her lemon of a Central Park co-op. The apartment's great. Building's great. Neighborhood's great. Location is great. Not great is Streisand. Folks might say - me, I'm not saying it, understand - but people might say she didn't make friends there thus nobody was making it easy for her to sell. Me, I'm not saying it. I'm just repeating what residents who know are saying.

The woman's been trying to get rid of the place five years. Doesn't even use it when she comes to town. She opts for a hotel. With the pad being three apartments cobbled together, she started by listing it for $10 mil. Lotsa luck. The board rejected all prospective buyers, including Mariah Carey. The price was dropped. Then dropped again. Then dropped more. Then, more.

First husband, Elliott Gould, who originally found the initial small apartment, plus their son, Jason, who now has his own home, personally schlepped personal belongings out the door last week. Elliott was very sad. He'd always flopped there when he was in town. Sighed Elliott: "I've been here 35 years."
