"Wisegirls" eyes December retail release?
Mariah Carey's new movie, "Wisegirls", has been released on DVD - as a promotional advancement for critics to review. It was reported that the film will seek a retail release on December 31, 2002, though these reports have been denied. It was previously released earlier this month in Greece.
The movie, co-starring Academy Award winning actress Mira Sorvino and Melora Walters, is a riveting crime drama that tells the story of three young waitresses who, after taking jobs at a stylish Italian restaurant, decide to rake in more than just their tips. Their over-ambition leads them to an illegal Mafia drugs racket and a series of events that are considerably rank.
