Danish release date for "Boy (I Need You)"

According to Universal Denmark's ressource website for press and retailers, www.umusic.dk, "Boy (I Need You)" will be released as a commercial single in Denmark on March 17, one week before the release of The Remix Album by Sony. The song is the second single from the "Charmbracelet" album following in the footsteps of "Through The Rain", which peaked at #13 on the Danish singles chart.

The song is a bouncy R&B remake of "Oh Boy", a hit from last year by Cam'ron who is also featured on Mariah's rendition. Both songs were produced by hip hop producer Just Blaze. A very futuristic video was shot with director Joseph Kahn over four days in Tokyo and Los Angeles with lots of Asian extras and it premiered on TRL January 21.

Mariah says: "It was my first time working with Joseph Kahn and I'm really excited about it. It's kind of like Japanese pop - Speed Racer meets Hello Kitty meets me and Cam'ron". An overseas single release, which will include as-yet unfinished remixes, is scheduled for March 10, but it is not yet known if the song will follow in the footsteps of "Through The Rain" and see a commercial release in the US.
