Mariah goes on the road
Mariah Carey is preparing to embark on her first world tour in more than three years. The charismatic chanteuse - who has suffered a series of personal and professional problems over the last two years - will take to the stage in Osaka, Japan, on 24 June 2003 to support her latest LP Charmbracelet.
Mariah had two spells in hospital in late 2001 suffering from an emotional breakdown after the failure of her debut movie Glitter, and the album that accompanied it. But the singer is determined to carry on a career that at its peak crowned her the world's most successful female solo artist.
After dates in Japan, Carey will perform 47 concerts in North American starting on 18 July 2003 before moving onto Europe in September 2003. (WENN)
