Mariah Carey claims to wet herself in restaurant
Ah, Mariah Carey. During hecklerspray's short but productive lifespan, she's always been a firm point-and-laugh favourite of ours. Forever supplying the world with baffling stories of OTT diva-antics and hilarious public gaffes, we had nevertheless presumed that Carey would have chilled out and given things a rest over the Christmas period.
How wrong we were. Like some sort of female David Brent (except with slightly smaller breasts, obviously) Mariah Carey was chomping down in a fancy French restaurant when she decided to impress the native waiters with a display of her multi-lingual skills.
Intending to say "That meal was wonderful, I'll have to come here again," Mariah summoned over one of the staff and told him: "Ce repas était si excitant que je me suis fait dessus." The thing is, however, that the statement meant something else entirely. Apparently Mariah had been duped by a naughty prankster buddy of hers. The correct translation of what she said is as follows: "That meal was so thrilling, I've just wet myself."
At which point the assembled waiters presumably backed away uncomfortably and went to find a mop. Whether Mariah Carey has enacted any revenge on the japester in question remains unknown. Hecklerspray would suggest that the joke-player is tied down to a chair and made to listen to Carey's entire back catalogue six times over, but then that's probably illegal under the human rights act or something.
So she could just force him to watch the traditionally depressing Christmas episode of Eastenders instead. Let's face it - that'd teach anybody a lesson. (Heckler Spray)
