New releases from South-Korea
Yesterday, I received a little package. In it where the Charmbracelet CD and the Through The Rain CD-Single, both from South-Korea. The Charmbracelet CD is very special. It comes with 4 superb cards (see picture above) and a little bracelet. My friend also sent me a Korean magazine with Mariah on the cover. A real collector's item.
It always surprises me that fans from Asia always get something special, in contrast to the fans from Europe and the USA. Just think of the Butterfly CD from Japan with concert photos from the Daydream tour, the #1's CD from Asia with a set of pencils, the Glitter CD from South-Korea with a special promotion single, the Greatest Hits CD from Asia with 12 exclusive full colour calendars of Mariah Carey, the Greatest Hits CD from Singapore with an exclusive notepad, The First Vision video CD from China with a free 1999 calendar, etc. The sales figures of the Charmbracelet CD in Europe are disastrous. Maybe if the European release gets something special, maybe more people would buy the CD. Who knows? Or maybe they should just start promoting the CD. I haven't seen any advertisement for this album on television or in magazines in the Netherlands.
