About T from USA :

This is what we asked for (105,641) by T from USA
I remember coming to this board for years with people asking for an up tempo Mariah pop song with big vocals. Even Max Martin produced. Some even suggested the impossible, that she's on a track with Ariana Grande. Now we have exactly what everyone has asked for and the success it could find going into the top 10 would be huge. Streaming is easy. Buying is too but this is the day to do it. I've made it easy with two links for us here. Ariana's website and Amazon's new release page.

Keep on streaming (105,639) by T from USA
Reminder to stream the remix like never before today. Literally we are so close to a top 10 on Billboard 100 for the upcoming week. It's the difference of one point. If you haven't bought it this is our best chance to see Mariah in the Top 10 without Christmas music. Maybe our last chance. USA buy, stream, request on radio.

Yes, And so close to top 10. Now or never (105,623) by T from USA
That's this past week. We're looking forward to next weeks charts with currently has the song at #11 (one point behind #10). That's why buying the Mariah single if you live in the USA or streaming for the next few days is vital.

Amazon Music sales chart (105,616) by T from USA
Early today the remix was at tenth spot in the new release section and 56th in total song sales. Then it went up to #7 in new releases and #36 in total song sales. In the last hour it's dropped back to #9 in new releases and #60 in total song sales. We can definitely bring these numbers up at Amazon Music. Let's go get em.

Yes, And so close to top 10. Now or never (105,615) by T from USA
You're right. It's up to Billboard at this point. But we can really sway their decision by helping it get one more point this week and re-enter the Top 10. So today everyone buy the remix from Ari's site and Amazon and iTunes. And stream stream stream for the next few days. Stay triumphant keep on living.

Guys don't forget Amazon (105,611) by T from USA
You can get the single here on Amazon Music. They tally their sales right at the end of the chart week and often offer a good surprise to the artists for the chart. This might be the place that Yes, And remix finds its biggest sales success. Order it today.

Yes, And so close to top 10. Now or never (105,610) by T from USA
I agree, but we still have a chance. Those new dance mixes will keep points from the original one lower as less people will be checking on the OG these next few days. We can still do our Mariah part. We are literally one Billboard "point" away from Top 10. And we know the song has to have risen a jump of over 50% from last week. Right now it's at a 48% jump from last week. So let's go all out today and tomorrow.

Yes, And so close to top 10. Now or never (105,609) by T from USA
Well right now, as of their prediction is the song will come in at #11 with a 48% increase from last weeks chart placement. We know that an over 50% increase automatically gives the remix a new credit. So by getting it into the top 10 this week will mean it did go over 50% of an increase from last week, hence the credit. But we only really have today to Thursday morning to do it. So stream now like never before. Buy the remix single off Airana's website. Because next week we know it's going down. This week is the best chance for a Top 10.

Yes, And so close to top 10. Now or never (105,601) by T from USA
If you download the iTunes app. Or on your computer go to the iTunes website, you can purchase the song for a dollar. You have to put in your credit card number. The song will automatically go into a folder in your iTunes app called "my library". It's really simple if you try. You can also buy it from Amazon, just make sure it's the remix version. It's right on the edge of being #11 on the Hot 100, and being #10. Predictions have it at #11 missing the top 10 by literally one point. So we can push the needle today with more sales, more streams. Today's the day. Go get em.

Yes, And so close to top 10. Now or never (105,591) by T from USA
Billboard Hot 100 predictions are hot of the press and it looks like the remix has pushed the song to #11 on the Hot 100. Only one point from the top 10. It's also gained 48% since last week. Over 50% gains will get Mariah a credit. It would also give it the top 10 spot. So USA fans need to buy this, now, stream it like never before. Spotify, YouTube, Apple, Amazon, iTunes. Remember with streaming you have to switch songs in between for each individual streaming to count. But if it picks up a little more in the next two days Mariah could actually have a hit on her hands. It's now or never.

It just occured to me (105,589) by T from USA
Correct. Everyone has been pleading with Mariah to do an uptempo song in full voice, belting with all the bells and whistles. She answered that call for everyone and look what it got her. It's the biggest flop thing she's been attached to since Triumphant. At least Triumphant got some play. Anyone who expects Mariah to do this kind of music again or remixes of any nature are in for a big shock. I don't actually expect an album at all this year after this. At least I hope not. What kind of record label is seriously going to take a chance on her. Dismal sales, no radio or streaming. It would be too much work to have a successful project. Probably not even possible at this point. Look at independent artist Usher for example. He had a Halftime performance and still only sold 81k in his first week. If YAR was a smash hit and her remix brought it back to #1, then people would take notice, but not this. This is the worst thing for MC right now. I think she should take five years away after MC30th anniversary later this year. Come back at the end of the decade with something completely unexpected. Fresh, new but true to her. She's basically only got one more in her so she might as well take all the time she needs and do it 100 percent right. A Cher Believe situation.

No, but (105,568) by T from USA
Worst case scenario. The song tanked off the Spotify top 200 in two days. People do not enjoy this song. We know how Mariah reacts when something bombs this bad. She will go in a completely different direction. Distance herself from this sound which means Max Martin no more. Dance music no more. Upbeat music with belting no more. Hoping on a younger artist's song no more. It's going to be slow beat ballads going forward lol.

Yes, and more please (105,487) by T from USA
I love it. MC brings us back to the house mixes for the nostalgia. It's nice to hear her on a proper uptempo song. Her and Max Martin are a match made in heaven. So fresh but yet so classic sounding. Here voice is sounds great, and the overall vibe of the song is amazing. Hopefully we all do our part and stream this song, buy it and dare I say request it on radio. Get the word out that MC is back baby.

MC always late to the party isn't just a metaphor (105,391) by T from USA
I'm hearing Beyonce is going to dive into jazz and gospel after country music. She already did house music. Mariah mentioned on one of her Twitter Spaces that she doesn't want to go into her back catalogue of dance music out of fear that people will say she's jumping on the bandwagon. Which is crazy because she's done it first. Once Beyonce hits with Jazz, Mariah will feel pressured to not do it. I've even heard that act III might be Rock n Roll, which would be cool but then we can also kiss Someone's Ugly Daughter goodbye. It's almost like Mariah takes too long and then others steal her ideas. But it's not really theft it's more that the others are working faster and harder. I hope Mariah doesn't feel limited to R&B because she's afraid to go outside the box. Wasn't being put into a box the problem she had with her career in the first place? Now MC call that other MC and get SUD out already.

Mariah Carey signed with Range Media Music (105,306) by T from USA
According to this article Mariah Carey is signed with Melissa at Range Media in the music department. If you read the article you get all the details but basically they use Capitol Music Group for distribution of all physical and digital media and they use Virgin Music for all the marketing and commercial connections. Mariah is still followed by their Instagram page so I'm assuming nothing has changed in the last two years. This will probably be the company releasing her next album. I hope they use her well. My real wish is she would've signed with Columbia at Sony or return to Island Def Jam at Universal for the next album. A return to Universal would also allow her continue the MC30 stuff with them.

Tacking on two Memoirs songs to MIAMTEC (105,189) by T from USA
Does anyone ever wonder what the purpose of putting the two songs from Memoirs (Betcha, Its a Wrap) on The Elusive Chanteuse deluxe edition? Was is it strictly because those two fit the theme of the album or was she actually going to put the two singles from the cancelled Angels Advocate project (UOMF, AC - which would've made more sense since they had music videos and some success), but then decided against that idea once Nicki Minaj became such a brat?

Obsessed ft. 50 Cent (104,721) by T from USA
How cool would it have been if 50 Cent was the feature on Obsessed when it was released. It would've been her 19th #1 hit song for sure.

Merry Christmas II You 2010 reimagined (103,844) by T from USA
With all this duet talk I had a vision of what MCIIY could've been, instead of her trying to catch lighting in a bottle twice, she could've gone completely out of the box for her Christmas follow up and made it a duet album that would've lasted the test of time. Here's the reimagined track list in 2010:

1. Christmas Time Is In The Air Again (ft. Michael Buble)
2. O Little Town Of Bethlehem (ft. Celine Dion)
3. Oh Santa (ft. Destiny's Child)
4. The First Noel (ft. Whitney Houston)
5. When Christmas Comes (ft. John Legend)
6. Here Comes Santa Clause (ft. Snoop Dogg)
7. One Child (ft. The Clark Sisters)
8. O Come All Ye Faithful (ft. Patricia Carey)
9. Where Are You Christmas (ft. Faith Hill)
10. All I Want For Christmas Is You (ft. Justin Bieber)

The Einstein talk had me thinking (103,746) by T from USA
Lot's of people view E=MC2 has this light fun pop album compared to The Emancipation of Mimi. A fun summery record that you listen to to get into beach or party mode. So songs like Obsessed or Betcha, Hate U, It's a Wrap wouldn't work on it. But I never viewed it in such a light. To me it's one of her most revealing and dark album with bits of light popping up every other song. I mean, Side Effects, Thanks For Nothing, For The Record, Bye Bye and I Wish You Well are not what I would describe as lyrical joy. Einstein is a biting album and lots of people got bit. The cherry on the cake would've been if Eminem got his just desserts also with Obsessed being on the track list.

Questions for JD (103,745) by T from USA
After she fired him as manager he did have some questionable things to say about her as a professional. Eluding that someone on her level should show up every time like a game day athlete. Ready to go. Around that time a member of Boys II Men also made comments about Mariah's lack of professionalism when it came to her career. I actually believe after almost 25 years she was so over it by 2014 and unmotivated. I think she was subconsciously trying to self sabotage the career she built so that she could have a break. The last break she had was in 2001, and it was a forced break. The self sabotage continued after JD when she fell into the arms of Stella. and the New Years Eve performance was almost the end all for her. Luckily she got her head on straight and signed with Jay Z and got Caution out in a professional (and on time) manner and hit #1 with AIWFCIY. I honestly don't think there is anything left for her to do and that might be showing up as a lack of drive or motivation. One more album is all I'm hoping for but I don't even think that will ever happen.

2013 The Art Of Letting Go (103,719) by T from USA
I've always seen this record as an old school vibe album so obviously I would include Mesmerized, which was recorded in 2012. I would've also loved Up Out Of My Face on that album as it's a way of letting someone go. Imagine the duet with Nicki at that stage during American Idol? All in all I'd keep the album short and sweet but impactful. PS. I always pictured Betcha, Hate U, and It's a Wrap also perfect fits for it. Look at the story this album would tell about her relationship:

1. Betcha Gon' Know
2. Faded
3. Up Out My Face (ft. Nicki Minaj)
4. H.A.T.E.U.
5. Dedicated (ft. Nas)
6. Beautiful (ft. Miguel)
7. You're Mine
8. You Don't Know What To Do
9. Camouflage
10. Mesmerized
11. Cry
12. Meteorite
13. It's A Wrap (ft. Mary J Blige)
14. The Art Of Letting Go

PS. I still think Obsessed on Einstein would've been a game changer.

Einstein re-release in 2009 instead (103,711) by T from USA
I guess you do make a point. But I actually think Obsessed, It's a Wrap do match the other juvenile lyrics of other songs on the album, maybe they could be joined by Up Out My Face and Standing O and that would've rounded out Einstein nicely. (UOMF actually references Harvard, it basically writes itself.) The autotune on those songs also would lend some continuity. I just think having TMB, Obsessed and IAW all on one album would make E=MC2 a streaming monster like Daydream.

Einstein re-release in 2009 instead (103,705) by T from USA
Well we don't really know when Mariah records but it is clear that she saves things for later dates and times. But I have a feeling it was done after she already worked with the Dream on TMB. I think probably early 2009. That's why I wonder if a re-release of Einstein might have been the better way to go (instead of recording a whole album and waiting until the Fall of 2009). Even if the original E=MC2's track list had Obsessed as track 7 to replace Love Story, and It's a Wrap as track 9 instead of Last Kiss, in my opinion it would've fit so well and been the greatest Mimi album ever. (Betcha and Hate U would fit better on the Elusive Chanteuse.)
