It seems Anthony has now been fired. Looks like Stella did get the memo and she's now laying low. JP is just a prop IMO, or maybe the ring and necklaces are the props and JP is the dark shadowy figure as she described his role in her new reality show. (Saturday 11 June 2016; 18:37)

Re: Aretha Franklin - Kennedy Center Honors 2015 (63,187) (63,189) by RibbonB from USA Yup, a showstopper. I watched it several times after it aired in December. Aretha's twitter mentions really blew up with shout outs from Sam Smith, Anita Baker and on and on, with just queen of soul. The mink drop is everything. Aretha should win an Emmy for that performance. Mariah will probably be able to sing well at 7+, sort of like her voice on the "My lovesong". Love that song, but Mimi's voice sounded thin and airy. Divas 2000 (63,176) by RibbonB from USA I checked online and Mariah did the Diana Ross tribute in 2000. Google the rehearsal video, very cute. Diana told Mariah not to hit the whistle note at the end of one of the songs. Mariah speaks very fondly of Diana on the video. (Thursday 9 June 2016; 1:54)

I have an interesting theory about the end game, but I'm just gonna watch and hope it ends well for all, or at least for Mariah and the kids. I actually like Nick and hope it ends well for him too. JP buying TMZ favor may have no good effect on any future music sales. First, it better be quality and authentic, then she stands a chance for another hit. I still say Infinity the song was a misstep, both in the quality of the song and in the promotion of it. I hope Mariah's next release will be a well constructed song with that doesn't seem so personally attached to her mess. She is at her best with just good music, not stunt music. Angie Martinez memoir (63,134) by RibbonB from USA I just read Angie's memoir and it's very good. She mentions Mariah briefly. Mariah actually hosted Angie's baby shower on Angie's radio show. The book also describes the fight she had with her then co worker Wendy Williams. It's actually one of the best memoirs I've read in a long time. I like how she broke down two of the biggest hip hop beefs, especially the Jay Z and Nas beef. The other was the Tupac/Biggie beef. If she has any thoughts about the clown Em and his beef with Mariah, she didn't mention it, but I like that she did check Jay Z, Nas and Tupac for being wrong in going in on their rap opponent's women. In the clown's case I think he's the only rapper to diss a diva and be given credit as being good. He has never battled the greats. (Wednesday 8 June 2016; 5:11)

I've read equally unreliable tabloid reports saying that she refused to talk to him about the kids being on her show, that her people would tell him she was busy the whole time she was away on the last leg of her tour. There are lots of issues to co parenting that might need to be ironed out. Anyway if TMZ is to be believed and they do agree on custody and they have a prenup, then miss Mariah needs to ask a judge to finalize things. I think Stella or someone in Mariah's camp is just trying to make Nick look bad and create drama for her reality TV show. Besides, people seem to forget that JP is also not free to marry yet. She said on access they are still hashing put school and I suspect the next portion of her tour. They both should think twice about the kids in South America, what with the Zika threat. Mariah has said herself in recent interviews that the papers are not signed. Maybe she won't sign his terms. One or two years is not uncommon. It took Demi and Ashton almost two years and [...] had zero kids together. (Monday 6 June 2016; 1:43)

I can understand the logistics and timing of her not being in the 2008 wedding, but her mom was very present in important events during the marriage with the babies, anniversaries and she even used to tweet. Hopefully she is just laying low from all this current publicity, but as I said before, it was sad to see no family presence at Mariah's walk of fame. (Sunday 5 June 2016; 16:19)

High gloss/high glam video (63,026) by RibbonB from USA I would love for Mariah to do a really high glam video especially with that wide brim Giorgio Armani hat. She looked awesome in the hat and had an air of mystery. I think a well done video where she was directed by Sade's long term video director could be really good. "Kitchy koo" as Wendy says is cute, but straight up glamour could be really nice. She gave a little of that in the Say Something video, but she was mostly acting kitchy koo with pharell in that video. Who knows when she will have new music and make a video, but just an idea. I really am saddened that Mariah is almost never seen with her dogs anymore, we know she has had some rift with her brother and sister, but she is never seen with her mother anymore either. Not even at her Hollywood walk of fame ceremony. Thank God for Roc and Roe being there, or it would have been Brett, Lee, and Stella. That's a sad way to celebrate a monumental moment. The real Mariah (62,984) by RibbonB from USA A lot of us are wondering who is the real Mariah. I have mentioned authenticity, others want to know the inside, many want hoodriah, hyperiah, slayriah. And she may be all of these at different times. The thing is we all have different perceptions and preferences. Lately, though it just isn't clear what is going on and a lot of mixed messages are being put forth. Where I might see she is acting rebellious or even against her best interests in a "slave" fashion, someone else may feel she is finally emancipated to be who she really is. But is she? Time will tell, because this is all leading up to something. I hope it all ends well for the real Mariah and of course her children. She is doing a lot and the body can only do so much. Is she a commodity or in command? Or is she just doing the best she can with what she got? I think she said that last part about herself. (Friday 3 June 2016; 21:37)

The relevant, interesting article (62,927) (62,933) by RibbonB from USA Actually they are both Brett Ratners buddies. Remember just over a year ago they let it be thought that Brett and Mariah were an item, only to deny it when enough interest was generated. Then the whole roll out in June and the Stella and daughter shadowing started. It all seems very weird and contrived. Some authenticity could go a long way IMO. But yeah this seems to be a RatPac production. First the revenant now MC in the relevant bad script writing though. (Thursday 2 June 2016; 2:00)
