About RibbonB from USA: I love Mariah's Music.

CDC (37,196) by RibbonB from USA
Lol, I don't know about conspiracy, but they sure don't showcase any of MC's comments. People are nuts to think she sits in hours of auditions and try out rounds and not say anything. Maybe producers are mad that she didn't play along to the Nicki-girl beef fiasco. Mariah made it clear that that sort of crap would not happen again. But I watched the last few shows and last night Nicki made a point of jumping in when it was Mariah's turn to close out a round. Mariah already told the chick that she was so genuine and was closing out for the next group when nutty Minaj jumped in to repeat what Mariah said as if it was a new thought, by saying the singer was authentic. Duh. I'm glad MC nipped that and cut NM off. Producers created the environment we see and they are editing the show to show the conflict or shine that they want audiences to see. Many are falling for it, but not me. Nicki talks too much and not about singing, because she is not qualified. But she is doing what she can to draw attention to herself and away from contestants. Mariah wants to let the contestants shine. She's doing her thing as a professional with the goods. Nicki is a wanna be trying to justify her existence on the show.

Nicki clown (37,184) by RibbonB from USA
A lot of the Idol comments are about the editing. The producers barely show the other judges comments and they usually start with Nicki. Strange, because she can't sing and she focuses on everything but singing. The rediculous characters she keeps passing to the next rounds will never win and some are downright pathetic. It's unfortunate because some who can sing get dissed because of their nerves. Producers have bet on the clown, but it's not working, they have created an awkward show.

Idol (37,141) by RibbonB from USA
Nicki on Idol is a waste of time and energy. If producers think she is an asset, well it's really time to end this show on TV. I hope they actually get a decent singer out of this whole process, but Nicki Minaj and her drama was old before the show even started. I look forward to the live shows, but the audition part was always a bore IMO and nothing new this time.

Roc is so adorable even on the stool. I love the pic, Roc might not in several years. LMAO. His hair color is so much like Mariah's when she was younger.

Clive and Berry (37,085) by RibbonB from USA
These exec's have truly affected the musical landscape and both are deservedly in the Rock and Roll music hall of fame for many years now. The greater point is, while these music moguls have launched many great artists, they are recognized for their contributions to music and the artists they ushered in are recognized for their contributions to music, without this drivel of they were made by said execs. Where as Tommy on the other hand tried to dim the light on Mariah and the media generally played along with that narrative. I'm glad Mariah stood her ground and many fans have always given her credit. Celine, who's been with her manager since a teen, isn't even burdended with that same drama, people who love her just recognize her voice. There are tons of artists who have every advantage especially with these contest shows, but even with that, there are no new Mariah's or Aretha's or Whitney's. that's God given: the voice, charisma and appeal dont come everyday, married to an exec or not and that should never be diminished.

You're missing the point (37,084) by RibbonB from USA
Uhm, everyone here knows they were married and that will always be mentioned. We just didn't state the obvious, because that wasn't the point. Stephen got the point exactly. The end.

Lee (37,078) by RibbonB from USA
Yeah, she has just come off of a very busy period, with holidays, Australia concert and travel and then immediately to Idol promo. And yes, cute toddlers keep her very busy too, but she's always been a bit of a rambler in interviews. Lol.

The issue (37,075) by RibbonB from USA
The issue is not TM being linked to her life, the discussion is on him being linked to her career and success. A lot of that was perpetuated by him and fueled by a patronizing media and fan base. He also continued to manipulate her image after the breakup. And that is not something a good exec would do.

Maybe she didn't want to say hell. Lol.

Nikki (37,065) by RibbonB from USA
Lol. I definitely agree that Clive is not tied to Whitney or Alicia for that matter the way many including the media tie TM to Mariah. The media and many others have been very patronizing to Mariah with regard to her success. The thing I love, is she endured and overcame it all and in the face of all kinds of backlash and venom being thrown her way. The real gag is now he's releasing his book on the day before her new idol debut, I'm sure is for maximum exposure for himself. If anything good came of his little "tell-all" is he shows himself for what he truly is - delusional and a lot full of himself. People can play a role in your life, or even in your success, but it doesn't make them responsible for it. Even TM gives Brenda K Starr credit for handing him the tape, but that doesn't make her "responsible" for MC's success, she did do a good deed, what a good friend would do. TM did what a good exec should do with a great talent. Mariah did what only of of the greatest singers and songwriters could do and she is responsible for her success, with the help of God.

Tommy's therapist is right (37,046) by RibbonB from USA
He is and was delusional. TM recognized her talent and all that he did should have remained under the realm of executive. He thought he could absord her, which he didn't and can't. Poor guy.

Gilbert (37,037) by RibbonB from USA
The thing is, you didn't pay to see/hear the concert and most people see it once in any given era, so she wants to give them the highest quality and set list that she determines at any given time period. It isnt something she's going to change concert to concert.

Mariah sounds fantastic (37,025) by RibbonB from USA
I'm loving MC's voice and all the clear audio video's online. Even dem babies were fantastic. I just melted seeing them on stage and Roe's deep voice. She is surely a diva in the making. Roc was hilarious standing there, like he had something on his mind, but couldn't gather the words. Lol. Either that, or he was like that dude put on the spot to sing on karaoke night and just couldn't do it. So adorable.

Happy Holidays (37,005) by RibbonB from USA
Mariah, Nick and dem babies had a fab Christmas it seems. I hope everyone here did as well. Roc and Roe are so big and beautiful. I love dem babies.

Radio (36,993) by RibbonB from USA
Hmph, I've been skeptical of radio for the past few years and a lot of news is coming to light now that Nielson has bought Arbitron. I read an article in Madame Noire blog detailing how since 2007 Arbitron has been downplaying urban radio audiences and radio airplay. Arbitron has been sued and settled for fraud and other illegalities. I have noticed a damper and serious downplaying of R&B for the past few years and seems a lot of that has been from deliberate manipulation of actual audience numbers, especially since R&B has always been a modern music industry juggernaut. Here is hoping things get back to normal and it surely isn't all on MC's shoulders. It's just time for good urban music to get the airplay it deserves accross the board.

Will/song clearance (36,982) by RibbonB from USA
I'm sure the songs cleared for American Idol are songs people have sung during the audition phase. Many of them are fairly obscure and are probably being sung by lambs who are there just to meet Mariah. I hope they won be butchered too badly. I especially hope to hear competent renditions of DFAU and Vanishing. I can only imagine what someone will do to Shake it Off. Lol.

Roc is so tall (36,943) by RibbonB from USA
Mariah tweeted a pic of Roc and he seems so long and relaxed. You gotta love those kids. I'm glad they are winnng the celeb toddler poll that's been going around on twitter. Such cute kids.

If MC was upset (36,936) by RibbonB from USA
If MC was upset, Nick wouldn't be talking about these subjects. Nick can be Nick and people don't have to listen, simple as that. Nick has said some things on radio before, he's a comedian and he simply answered questions. Many who are commenting probably didn't even listen to the radio show or Howard's questions. And Mariah just happened to call Nick's radio show to joke about how they watch porn, blah blah, blah. They are grown people and Mariah has said that they are one. So really fans' opinions on the subject dont really matter. And many fans are the first to mouth off about their wack fantasies on message boards and their twitter timelines. Anyway, it's their business.

Huff post (36,933) by RibbonB from USA
This article and all other blog articles overlook Howard being Howard and the questions and context in which he was asked. In context, it was a humorous, enlightening interview. IMO. I especially like his comments on the Nicki Minaj incident, again after he was asked an in depth question. He also gave his opinion on Chris Brown after being pressed. Nick has a right to his opinions just like anyone else. But bloggers will always sensationalize excerpts to attract attention to their sites, just as when they acted like Nick critizized MC's mothering skills. He did no such thing, he said he changed more diapers when he's home with the kids.

Howard Stern interview (36,931) by RibbonB from USA
People will be reading lots of blog excerpts of this Stern interview with Nick. The interview was over an hour long and Stern was being Stern asking shocking or intimate questions and Nick answered a few. In context they were funny. He certainly didn't volunteer details, but his interview was typical Stern fare and nothing Nick hasn't been asked and answered on radio before. Blogs are just highlighting that soundbyte and putting their own spin on it as usual. Mariah knows and loves who she married, even if she might now indulge in the same discussion. They are two different people.

Mariah on Fallon/Grammy nominations (36,912) by RibbonB from USA
Congrats to MC for such a cute rendition of her song and all the interest in her festive "funness", lol. I am so happy she also shared such a cute picture of Roc and Roe. That image is priceless of Roc staring at Roe, who was swathed in Hello Kitty paradise. Too cute. It was so nice to see my dude Miguel get a Grammy nomination for song of the year. I posted months ago, that he had one of the best song/r&b song in years. Good for him, although he may not win, that is a bug achievement. I also campaigned hard for Mariah to write a song with him. I still hope that happens, even though a while after I posted that, it was announced that he was in studio with Beyonce. There is still hope as John Legend has a song out written by Miguel. He is getting pretty hot and deservedly so. It's nice to see many of the Euro/techno-pop acts not getting Grammy play this year. None for Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Bieber etc. It's time to get back to more well-crafted music, with more flavor.

That picture is absolutely priceless. It will be awesom if dem babies are musically inclined, especially if one or both are able to sing well.
