About Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada: Proud lamb since "Vision Of Love" 1990

Stacey/AI (37,110) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I really agree on your assessment of Mariah's judging. I'll be honest. I think AI as a platform can be pretty cheesy at times, but there's no denying some talented people have come out of it. I've seen several articles praising her ability to balance constructive criticism and poise and I have to agree. I think she's done a great job and IMHO it is obvious she remembers what it feels like to dream about earning a recording contract and truly cares about the people hoping for a shot. As for the Nicki/Mariah thing. I really don't think it is fake. I've watched both full episodes and I've tried to be as objective as possible when I watch. I understand that as a MC fan some might feel I simply have a bias. Honestly, it seems to me Nicki is extremely insecure and just wants to be liked by everyone. She speaks first 98% of the time for example, because she wants acceptance from the contestants, the audience etc. I think she really wants to prove herself and feels intimidated. There were definitely several obvious digs toward Mariah throughout. I'm wanting to hear someone sing one of MC's songs in a less than flattering way "all day". Saying someone had a better range than Mariah when the person clearly wasn't considered a strong audition. Becoming clearly irritated when Mariah had a moment with a contestant who shares her uncommon name, to name a few. I hope it lessens as the season goes on. I'm not saying by any means Mariah is perfect. I get that not everyone likes Mariah or understands her humour or flair for the dramatic. I just don't feel MC was taking intentional digs at her in the same way.

Can't Let Go/Love Takes Time Austrialia (37,028) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
Mariah sounded incredible. It seems obvious to me she has had proper vocal rest. I was so excited and happy to hear Can't Let Go and Love Takes Time. Happy New Year everyone.

Thanks Stacey (36,949) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
Your info was helpful. I've been collecting a number of years now, but have built my collection slowly as something I do just for me. I also really really love the Christmas promos and believe I will have them all n my collection one day. I've been on Ebay since 1998 and have seen JBOTD maybe 4 times and MYM twice. I've been outbid in the past, but I appreciate you sharing as some people do price their stuff quite high to begin with, and it is nice to have some frame of reference to compare, and without asking other collectors, that's kind of impossible. Lol.

Question for collectors (36,941) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
Sometimes, I think that ebay sellers overprice items and I was curious about a good price range for O Jesus, Born On This day, and Miss You Most. These are two of the rare ones from Merry Christmas and two that are not in my collection yet. I was just curious if anyone who bought these ones would be willing to share what they paid. If you don't want to post it publicly, you can email me at deedre.statz@gmail.com. It's not that I mind paying for the rare items, I don't. I just want to be aware for my own information. Thanks in advance. PS Glad you are enjoying the mp3, Stacey.

I emailed you the mp3 of the AIWFCIY acoustic performance. Let me know if you want anything edited.

Mariah on Jimmy (36,899) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
This performance was adorable. I could not stop smiling the entire time. I absolutely loved the arrangement and the kids were so cute. Again, Christmas just isn't Christmas without MC.

Morocco concert (36,895) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I just watched a bunch of YouTube videos from the Morocco show. I was curious about it because I kept seeing comments from fans about how bad it was, that the performances were proof she should retire etc. I have to say I really enjoyed the concert. I thought she sounded great for the most part. Yes, there were some parts that were perhaps not perfect, but IMHO not anywhere near as awful to be considered grounds for retirement. There were some not perfect parts, but to be honest, I prefer that aspect of a live show any day over lipscyncing. And she was so funny with her ad libs and singing the Morocco song.

Paul/Christmas in Washington (36,882) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I completely agree. Both performances are gorgeous. She actually made me cry when I watched it. In O Come All Ye Faithful there's a couple of points where Annie Lennox is looking at her with such respect as a fellow artist. That just really touched me.

I emailed you new mp3 files where I edited out the talking in both. Hope you enjoy. When you say there is another version of O Holy Night though, which single is it on? I have the two track promo from the USA (just got it, has yet to arrive) and the silver promo from Japan (2000) with the live version. Is there another one? Not to sound naive, lol, but it is hard to tell from the track listings if the arrangements are different. I have mp3's of Christmas in Washington. Thanks a bunch. Let me know if you get the email ok.

Thank you Stacey (36,869) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I got your email, and I love the promo version. I sent you mp3's of the Rockefeller Center performances. No worries if someone already gave them to you. Thanks again.

I just realized that I didn't leave my email in my last reply. That would help. Lol, deedre.statz@gmail.com. Thanks again.

I would love the mp3 if you don't mind sending it. That would be awesome. So nice of you, thanks. I don't have "Miss You Most" yet, but maybe one day. I agree this site is awesome for collectors to use as a guide. I appreciate all the time and effort that has been put into it. Generally, I just love all the cover art from Merry Christmas. I think the photos are just the right blend of softness, innocence, playfulness, and sexiness. The perfect example of "less is more". She looks incredibly sexy in the Santa suitt photos, but it isn't in your face overdone, either.

What a beautiful live performance (36,850) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I absolutely loved the live version of CTIITAA. So lovely. Mariah's Christmas music pretty much makes the season for me. I would love it if they could put the live version on the single. Does anyone have any info on the re-release of MC II You? Is there anything new included? And to top off this great performance, after years of trying I finally got a copy of The O Holy Night promo CD. I know it isn't all that rare but it's one I'm happy to own.

Re Monroe (36,807) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I thought the same thing, Jenny. She has a striking resemblance to Mariah as a child. I can't believe how fast the twins are growing up.

It's just not Christmas without 1994's Merry Christmas (36,794) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I know it's early, but I've already had the album and DVD out for both MC and MC II You. Mariah's music has become such a part of my life and the season, it would feel so strange not to have it. The music truly does carry so many happy moments for me. I couldn't imagine Christmas without it.

I agree Stacey (36,696) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
Re not giving away the farm. I adore MC, but sometimes the sexy outfits are over the top for me. About Bring it On Home. I do like the song, the vocals are strong. Anyone else noticed how fixated she is with the phrase "going" the last few albums? Not a criticism necessarily, just an observation. Lol.

Paul re Triumphant physical single (36,674) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
There are various promo versions of the physical single on Ebay. I'm doubtful of a commercial release though. JMO.

Is anyone else beyond tired of this Nicki/Mariah stuff? (36,667) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I just read the article on the front page of the site quoting Nicki. Obviously AI was underhanded in their lame attempts to garner publicity for the show by leaking the feud video. I was looking forward to seeing MC judge on the show - granted I'm not big on AI as a platform, and I had reservations when Mariah signed on, but I thought she was a great mentor in 2008 when she was on. I just feel frustrated by the fixation on the "feud". Frankly, I really don't care. I just wanted to watch to see what Mariah was going to do to support up and coming singers. Right now, quite honestly, I feel less and less interested in tuning in to watch AI. Sigh.

I loved MOAIA (36,580) by Deedre aka MiTodoChop @HBF from Canada
I am often surprised to hear people say they think the songs on the album all sound the same. For me, it was my favorite release since Butterfly, and that's saying a lot since there's something to love IMO about all her albums. I am still disappointed it wasn't given more promotion and backing from the label. No problem with me to colab with The Dream again.
