About Matty from Vancouver Canada: I love music of all kinds, with R&B and pop toping my list of favourite genres. I've been a Mariah fan since Charmbraclet, there was something about that album that connects on a deep level. Other favourite albums are Glitter, Daydream, The Emancipation of Mimi, and Me. I Am Mariah.

My Favourite Mariah Songs are: The Art of Letting Go, Fantasy & Shake It Off.

My Least Favourite album is Music Box.

My most start-to-finish listened album (don't-skip-a-track albums): Emotions, Butterfly, The Emancipation of Mimi and Me. I Am Mariah: The Elusive Chanteuse.

Mariah's Cookies fail (102,247) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Who was asking for them? I think some people get confused between Mariah the artist and Mariah the business entrepreneur. In business, some ideas stick and some don't. I don't think her business ventures are meant for the Lambs. It's not a fail, it's an "Oh well, that didn't work. On to the next." All celebrity corporations try and test similar products, most fail. That's business and capitalism.

Missed opportunity singles It's a Wrap (102,221) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Lambs have long lamented over missed single opportunities, Migrate being the most obvious because it entered the charts without being an official single. With the recent success of Its A Wrap, [wouldn't] it have been great if It's a Wrap was the [second single] after Obsessed? Obsessed, It's a Wrap, UOMF remix, and then finishing the singles list with Angles Cry (the always needed Mariah ballad) would have really expressed the overall album vibe perfectly. I wonder if the label regrets not releasing It's A Wrap now in 2023?

Infinity (102,173) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
This is so random. I've had infinity in my head all week. "It's more than and made up - Dreaaam." I love the beat and orchestra, it's the weak lyrics that kill me. The beat and and orchestra deserve better lyrics. But I low key love this song. Did it deserve to be the closing song of #1 to Infinity album? No. But is it a nice stand alone moment (like Triumphant)? Yes.

If you could... (102,150) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
An album between Emancipation and E=MC2 for sure. There was so much creativity and nuance in that era. I want more 2004-2008 Mariah.

Melissa Ruderman and Nicki Minaj (102,049) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I wonder if we can expect an Up Out My Face Part 2 now that Melissa Ruderman is also managing Nicki Minaj.

Mariah's most famous, not famous song? (102,009) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I've been thinking; Even my friends who don't vibe with Mariah (we all have those friends hahaha) know "Triumphant". In your opinion: What's Mariah's most popular un-famous song? I think more people know "Almost Home" then the Lambs realize.

Who was actually there? Toronto shows (101,802) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Who was actually at the first two Toronto shows? I'm curious, because [our] crew (friends) was in the third row, she was making eye contact, nostrils in full flair, no miming, and heard her voice as clear as a bell (from the stage, not the speakers blasting in the nose-bleeds or though someone's cell phone speakers). All I'm hearing is negativity based on cell phone recordings when the commenters weren't present. She sounds absolutely phenomenal in her current voice. She riffed, she went off singing script while singing, she improvised, she laughed. Monroe killed it during the duet. She sang her heart out with and she sounded as good as any of her epic eras.

Miss You Most (At Christmas Time) (101,774) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
She sound like perfection last night, I can't believe how amazing she was. My friend had tears running down her face the entire show. It was a truly magical and stunning night.

The magic starts tonight (101,773) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Unbelievable. The house was packed and absolutely on fire. The set list was a mix of the hits and Christmas which was brilliant. Trey, Monroe and Roc all had their own segments in the concert. Jermaine Dupri was in the audience. The choir, the dancer, the ensembles, amazing. Tanaka was serving sexy. It was unforgettable. I'm still dying and crying, and trying to resuscitate myself.

Tonight's the [night] Lambs. We're at the Fairmount Royal York, and our room over looks the Scotiabank Arena. Downtown Toronto is lit and excited for Mariah.

Two more sleep, two more sleeps (101,750) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Only two more sleeps until me and my crew she [sic] Mariah in Toronto. We're in the third row, and the recent Moet and Chandon performance made me even more excited then I already was. 6x here we come baby. (We flight out from Vancouver tonight. )

QOC (101,643) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I wish there was a "I'm being sarcastic" font, on this forum. Some of you are way to serious for a forum that's meant to be fun. Just like Christmas is just meant to be fun. Regardless of a silly trademark, MC is the QOC, we know that.

She deserves the trade mark, but whatever. Even Queen Dolly confirmed it's her title. Anyone else who calls themselves as the QOC, will be questioned, "Who are you?"

Mariah on Jimmy Fallon (101,616) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I just watched the interview. This is MC on the very top of her interview game. Gorgeous, engaged, hilarious, personable, and so loveable. It's been a moment since she's done the full talk show circuit, I'd love for that to happen again. The View, Kelly & Ryan, The Drew Barrymore show, Tamron Hall, the late nights etc.

Appreciation for "Bring on the Heartache" [sic] (101,611) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
This cover (Bring on the Heartache [sic]) needs way more love then it ever gets. The interpretation of this song, the video, the cloths, style and head scarf, the build up, the full belts, the whistle note, the electric guitar. This is what Rock-Riah looks and sounds like. I feel like it gets lost in the mix (no pun intended, Mix-ish) for some reason. What if this was the lead single from Charmbracelet instead of TTR?. This song makes a statement, and gives me all the tingles and feels. I’d love if Mariah did an ‘80’s style rock album like this. Give us raspy, give us pain, give us Boho fashion and the big hair dahling.

Mariah Carey - Walmart range (101,608) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
What's the "Walmart" collection by Mariah? Sorry, I live in Canada where Walmart isn't really a thing unless you want a cheap dressers, toilet paper in bulk or canned soup. You also have to drive at least 15 km from the city to find a Walmart. (This is absolutely no shade to Mariah, or Walmart shoppers. I'm just confused what these collections are.) My dream is that's it's a vinyl, a second vinyl, a perfume, a concert T and finally a stream of "Glitter" for all those Gez's that get it but at the same time don't.

Alternative playlist (no #1's or #2's) edition (101,582) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Love this playlist. Except Hero can't be on the set list (it's a number one), what's a replacement for Hero as the closer to your alternative concert?? No remixes of number ones either. Just the standard song release that's not within the top 2.

MSG (101,581) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Me, my partner and friends have our tickets to the December 9th Toronto show. Beyond worth flying across the country to see this show. I was at MSG for her New Years Eve show in 2010 and we still take about it.

Merry Christmas or MCIIY (101,517) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I'm 100% with you on this Robert, I listen to MCIIY three times more then Merry Christmas during the holiday season. It's an amazing album to put on for hosting events at home, so updeat and fun. I love the lush orchestra. I remember when she first released MCIIY that she said it is Christmas in the city verses Merry Christmas is Christmas in the country.

Migrate vs Obsessed (101,504) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
Oooo. That's a tough one. Gen Z loves Obsessed, so that longevity is there. But Migrate gets my blood pumping and I love it. The only issue with Migrate is that autotune hasn't aged well. Without the Eminem controversy, I've wondered if Obsessed would have done as well as it did.

Heartbreakers video (101,497) by Matty from Vancouver Canada
I think because [it] was a full cinematic experience, it had a story line, an alter ego villain and vengeance against an ex who is a famous actor. Then the extremely sexy remix video with the car wash, roller skates and black and white treatment. The videos couldn't be more different which was brilliant. I'd say her only videos after that, on that level where Touch My Body and Obsessed.
