About Robert-Anthony from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

Re: What sank Charmbracelet? (100,825) (100,828) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I just wonder if we will ever hear the leftover track, Reaching For The Sky and others. MC didn't show any MC30 love for Charmbraclet. Maybe it's a reason why she skipped that era.

Re: What sank Charmbracelet? (100,807) (100,814) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Through the Rain being released as the lead single is what sanked Charmbraclet [sic]. It only made it as high as 81 on the Hot 100. Radio stations needed a fun upbeat MC after the Glitter ordeal. Lyor Choen steered MC in the wrong direction. Charmbraclet [sic] was really all over the place from beginning to end.

Re: Just Stand Up (100,809) (100,810) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Lol. Just trying keep those fire whistles notes on the down low. I love this gem.

Just Stand Up (100,800) by Robert-Anthony from United States
You know I had ro pull out the Just Stand Up cd today. Mariah, Beyonce and Mary J. Blige got the top three starring credits. Mariah really gave some great vocals on the bridge. Definitely Music Box vocals on the bridge. I am really sure Babyface told MC to do just her thing. The whole arrangement of the chorus and after bridge chorus sounds like MC gave her input. There are subtle whistle notes toward the end of this gem.

This is too funny (100,776) by Robert-Anthony from United States
So, I picked a rewritable CD of TEOM at a thrift store. It has the unedited version of My One and Only. I hear MC clear as day saying sh*t and mf. We know on the CD version those words are blurred out digitally. Is it true now that when you download My One and Only you can buy the unedited version? I am going to post on my Twitter page later today.

Jamie Lidell (100,771) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I just bought Jamie Lidell's self-titled album on vinyl. This man is a musical genius. He has a soulful voice and some hot beats. He said in an interview that Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation and R&B was the inspiration for his sixth self-titled album. I just wonder what MC and Jamie Lidell could do in the studio. Check him out on YouTube with the tons of videos about him. His song Multiply was featured on Grey's Anatomy's soundtrack and Don't You Love Me Anymore (Stevie Wonder influence).

Just one more time with Walter A. (100,761) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I know that I am probably beating a dead horse with wanting MC to collaborate with Walter A. again. Their collaborations made people like MC's gorgeous melodies, prolific lyrics and vocals. MC needs to forgive Walter and bring her career full circle with another album of Walter A. and Mariah Carey songs. MC doesn't realize that she will never have another #1 Hot 100 again until she collaborates with Walter again. The lack of Walter A. songs on her albums since 1997, have yielded at most album fillers and few songs of substance. I truly feel Walter A.'s chords brought out the genius in Mariah that we haven't seen since Butterfly. I say somebody like L.A. Reid or Karen Kwak should arrange a studio date for Mariah and Walter A. I would say Tanaka, but he may be put in the doghouse if he tried to make the arrangement. He has too much to lose. Lol. Just my thoughts after remembering what Babyface did for Toni Braxton's career.

Re: Bringin' On The Heartbreak (100,719) (100,721) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Wow. I guess that's why there is no mention of any credit information inside the CD. Why would MC deceive us like that? Sounds like a song title. Lol. I need to stop going through my MC collection and get out of town for a trip.

Bringin' On The Heartbreak (100,718) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I have the Through The Rain 3-track CD with a live version of Bringin' On The Heartbreak. Does anyone know where this live version was recorded? The video for this gem was a live version too.

H.A.T.E.U (100,704) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Remember when we all got excited when we heard the bridge snippet of this gem. The vocals were on point and those whistle notes.

Re: Italy (100,691) (100,692) by Robert-Anthony from United States
She looked beautiful. I hope she arrives back in the U.S. ready to finish working on her multitude of projects. I want a couple compliations to add to my collection. Wouldn't it be nice if one of compliations was all of the leftover tracks from the Island/Def Jam years? I need to hear Yours ft. Justin Timberlake and Reaching For The Sky.

It's a slang phrase that became popular in late 2000s.

Re: Funko pop (100,676) (100,678) by Robert-Anthony from United States
It is cute. It also comes with a Pop Stacks protector cover. I am going to order mine soon because you will not be able to find it in the stores when it is released. Lately, Wal-Mart does not always ship Mariah Carey merchandise to every store upon release.

Re: You and I (100,666) (100,667) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Just Google You and I Mariah Carey. She sang it at a BET tribute to Stevie Wonder.

Re: You and I (100,664) (100,665) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I feel that MC's vocals nodules just became worse with the breathy vocal singing and with age. Why did she start singing like that? Has anybody noticed that she can't sing like that anymore?

MC's masters (100,656) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I just finished watching a ABC documentary- The Sound of Freedom. There was a whole segment about what Prince did to own his masters. He was credited to changing the game for music artists to own their masters. It is reported on the web that MC only owns her Glitter masters. I wonder why she hasn't asked Columbia and Island/Def Jam for her masters. Rihianna left Island/Def Jam with her masters. If Ciara can ask for her masters and receive them for free, surely MC can do the same.

Re: New cover song (100,645) (100,653) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I would say She's Gone by Hall and Oates, but with a different title of He's Gone. It would be beautiful for MC to sing produced by Harvey Mason Jr and background vocals and harmonies by Daryl Hall himself.

Re: Some trivia for you (100,646) (100,648) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Bill, you are wealth of information concerning MC's releases. You are right about Never Forget You.

I was looking for Underneath The Stars as the promotional maxi CD. During the years 1995-97, I was purchasing a lot of MC promotional CDs and vinyl releases (the flimsy paper thin cover that was used a lot for European and Asia releases) from this record store in New York City. The owner would send me a typed out list of MC merchandise everytime I ordered something. That's how I obtained the 3-track Underneath The Stars promotional maxi CD. Maybe I am putting this 3-track Underneath The Stars in the wrong release category.

I was thinking about Anytime You Need A Friend as the double 12 inch vinyl. I found my copy at a local record shop in Chicago 1996 when I moved there for a man. But that is another story for another time. Lol.

I like your response for Caution. MC would probably say, "Instant grats, dahling."

You're are right about The Rarities. It is crazy how much the vinyl compilation is going for on Ebay now. I am predicting with every vinyl compilation release in the future, it will always go for an extremely high price on Ebay.

I was looking for Anytime You Need A Friend - The Soul Convention Mix as the special remix found on cassette only. Maybe I am wrong that is was released exclusively to the cassette release only. It was another great find at a local music store in the U.S. for those of us who remember Turtles Record Stores.

Some trivia for you (100,643) by Robert-Anthony from United States
What MC single was released but a video was never made for the song?

What was MC's first promotional maxi CD for a song that was never released as single?

What was MC's first double 12" vinyl?

Why was Caution such a commercial failure?

What recently released compliation is already a rarity going for hundreds of dollars on Ebay?

What single from Music Box had a special remix that could only be found on the cassette version?

I just thought about this MC has darn near worked with almost everybody who hosted, performed, or recognized at the BET Awards last night. Who else can say that? No one.
