About Robert-Anthony from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

Re: Expectations vs reality (100,541) (100,542) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Now, I really feel bad. I am going to stop being negative about my girl, MC. I guess I want new music already. But that Robin S. sample, Show Me Love that Beyonce used for her new song, took back to the club in 1992 only showing up to hear the sped up vocals of Dreamlover. I love you, MC.

Have you seen MC's video today that she posted on Twitter with Heartbreaker playing in the background? Why does she make videos like this? It does nothing but make her seem like she is seeking attention. She doesn't have to worry about getting all the attention this week because Beyonce is going to snatch it at midnight for the rest of the week. Lol.

Re: Expectations vs reality (100,523) (100,524) by Robert-Anthony from United States
You're right on it, T. We all think Mariah's career would take off again if she went back to formula of her debut album of ballads and the total package. However, we get the Mariah who finds singing ballads boring. So, what we get is the hip hop diva MC. If John Legend can work with Ryan Tedder and give the world the brillant Honey featuring Muni Long, then why won't MC call Ryan Tedder or Greg Kurstin up to create her old formula of ballads?

Do you think? (100,507) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Has MC lost her drive to be a recording artist? It is almost like she is afraid to release another album because of what would be said in the media if it fails commercially. I feel MC could not take another album that is a commercial failure. In my opinion, she doesn't have the drive anymore to promote and support an album with an extensive promotional schedule and world tour. The rest of this year and 2023 is going to be interesting to see what she releases.

Re: Songwriters speech (100,479) (100,482) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Something was off last night with MC. Maybe too many glasses of champagne before the ceremony. She seemed like she had to put on the diva persona when she is in a element she can't control the lighting and how she will be perceived by the audience of her peers. MC's bioplar diagnosis causes her to act this way. It is clear that her dysfunctional family has scarred her real personality severely. She hasn't healed from the hurt that she had endured by her family all of these years.

We didn't know in the early 1990s how hurt MC was inside. It was hard to watch her speech to the end. I almost felt like the laughs at the end of her speech were like the audience was mocking her last comments. We might not ever get another "real" album or tour again. I kind of wished MC was as strong and direct as Monique.

Re: Beyoncé album? (100,465) (100,466) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Beyonce has been on a different level with the media and the Beehive since she dropped her albums Beyonce and Lemonade. After she released her lackluster album 4, Beyonce took her career to a different level. All of this new hype started a week ago when she removed all of her profile pics from her social media. She does little things like this to get the world wondering what she is plotting next in her career. We only wish MC would step up her game to get the world talking about her next moves. Chat time with the Lambily on Twitter Spaces every three months is not going to do it. She gives us the same spill everytime that she is "working on multiple projects". How long have we been hearing this spill? It has been since March of 2021.

Re: Collaborations (100,451) (100,455) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I believe with Pharrell, Dev Hynes and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis she can create again the magic of TEOM. Her voice wasn't in the best state then, but she had some great producers who gave MC hot tracks to sing over. It is probably good that she wait to release MC16 in 2023 when she can better position her music for radio airplay. Just my two cents today.

Jumpsmokers remix album (100,436) by Robert-Anthony from United States
The Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony is this coming Thursday. Could MC drop the Jumpsmokers and Angels Advocate remix album the next day on Friday? It kind of makes sense since it was announced this past Friday that it would be released.

Re: The Roof with Brandy (100,431) (100,433) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Bill, I had to do my research by typing in Mariah Carey forum. I clicked on www.tapatalk.com. Then, I clicked on the post #MC30 Continuation: Jumpsmokers Remix Album. And someone posted a retweet from the 7pm-12am DJ Kensie K on 96.5 where she gave a Mariah Carey exclusive that MC was releasing a remix album with the Jumpsmokers. Kensie K says that her boyfriend is Roman from the Jumpsmokers and that is how she knows.

Re: Collaborations (100,427) (100,428) by Robert-Anthony from United States
MC was never the same after 2001. Recording an album is always overdone with too many collaborations and weird titles. I wish she would take the Carrie Underwood approach to recording albums by keeping it simple and not worry about it being a hit album. Carrie lets her songs and voice represent her creative work. Her new album Denim and Rhinestones is the type of production MC needs on her next album. I wish she would work with Carrie's go to producer at the moment, David Garcia. He really has helped Carrie craft some brilliant songs. Who knows, maybe MC will surprise us this year.

MC is fooling us. She has been advised not to disclose any new details about new music.

AIWFCIY (100,387) by Robert-Anthony from United States
This lawsuit by Andy Stone is so absurd. Mr. Andy claims that MC exploited his popularity and style for a song that he wrote 5 years earlier.

MC's catalogue (100,374) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Would she ever sell her catalogue like Justin Timberlake and others have done? JT sold his catalogue for 100 million. MC can receive at least 300 million for 1990-1999 years alone.

Re: Why I want another #1 (100,361) (100,364) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I was just thinking the same thing. It would have been really cool if MC could have written and sang the theme song to the new Top Gun movie. She was not even considered because she no longer sings pop music.

Re: Why I want another #1 (100,354) (100,355) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I believe there is another pop song left in MC.

That's right. Cardi B is the female artist MC was referring to recently with the Lambs. The summer is about be hot.

MC's summer (100,318) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Could this summer really be MC's first ever album launch? There is talk on the web about some announcement on June 17th and a new single July 1st. Are we ready?

What was your favorite MC summer song/moment? (100,283) by Robert-Anthony from United States
To get ready for a new era starting this summer, let's reminisce about our favorite MC summer song/moment. My favorite MC summer song/moment was the 2005 when We Belong Together was still hot on radio. I was at a popular Memphis park called Overton Park. All the "family" came out on Sunday afternoon. Lol. We Belong Together was being played very loud in someone's car. Everybody was gathered around this one car singing We Belong Together. I was so proud to see lips and bodies moving to my favorite artist's #1 song. Whenever I would talk about MC during the TEOM era, I would say, "That's my girl." I was and still am a proud Lamb.

Re: MC16: Rumour mill (100,278) (100,280) by Robert-Anthony from United States
The big four record executives and the radio corporations don't want MC get her next # 1 song and beat The Beatles' record. Why do you think since the pandemic she has referred to them as the corporate morgue?

Re: MC16: Rumour mill (100,276) (100,277) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Her exact words were: "I hope everyone receives the remix." "Some of my best dear friends who are DJs at big stations haven't received it yet and I am really hopeful that they will get that thing."

Re: MC16: Rumour mill (100,270) (100,274) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I like his twitter account. I think the single that is supposedly dropping the day after the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony is from this project MC keeps referring to where she has worked with several artists. She alluded to that snippets of The Butterfly Lounge will premiere during the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony in lieu of her preforming her hits. Also, she talked about that a lot of radio stations are not playing the Big Energy remix. Per MC, festive things are on the way.
