About Lee from USA: I love mimi

Jaker (42,057) by Lee from USA
You shouldn't be worried Katy Perry. Her career has been a poor imitation of Mimi's. She can't keep a man nor win a Grammy. This is a chick who got dumped by Russell Brand's dirty ass after a few months of marriage. And she got the nerve to hype Beyoncé, who has 1 hit song out of 17. I don't see how 4 failed singles could break her career whereas other old-school artists have not had a hit single in over a decade and still be called legends.

R&R Hall of Fame (41,956) by Lee from USA
In order to be inducted, it has to be 25 years since her first single. And then, it has to be a lot of politics involved. But she should be in there due to her stats being better than over 90% of the acts inducted.

I personally have no problem with Angola (40,267) by Lee from USA
Walmart underpays its employees yet no one is screaming at Katy Perry and Kevin Hart. The Rat Pack took money from the Mafia. But people are crying about her taking money from a bank. Really?

My two cents (40,223) by Lee from USA
I don't see the logic on losing faith in Mimi. She did put out a top-20 hit which went platinum with shoddy promotion. As far as Beyoncé releasing all of these videos, we shouldn't sweat it. It seems like desperation and frustration to me. It makes no sense to throw shade at an industry that pretty much threw her a parade every time she stepped on the scene. I expect Mimi to say something like that, not "queen" Bey. Adele blew her out the water two years ago despite her not being a size two or being heavily promoted. Columbia saw that Adele outsold Lady Gaga and Beyoncé with little promotion. So it may make them rethink about who should be their golden girl, and the queen don't want that.

Star magazine (40,009) by Lee from USA
What can we do about this magazine? They have tried to break them up since 2008.

I disagree (39,834) by Lee from USA
If her popularity is waning, why is her Twitter followers steadily rising from 12-13 million to 14 million? If Nick is being thrown under the bus, then why is he still with her and singing her praises? It is funny that Mimi could be labeled as "nut-job", yet she could hold down a husband. I am tired of the whole image debate. Mimi was having fun at Fallon's show and people are complaining. She has never smoked crack, slept with her dancers or employees, made porn, nor had she been investigated for child abuse or molestation.

If you think she is the best, then why are you complaining about her music and image? It makes no sense to say that she can't hit #1 yet she is the best. Personally, I don't see a problem with her image when other artists ,who are older (and younger) than she is, have done worse than she had conceived of doing. It is funny how nobody squawked too much about Lady Gaga performing nude in some gay club, but people complained about Mimi showing cleavage on Twitter. It seems that some of the British would endorse Gaga and Madonna's raunchy antics on stage, but they would be the first ones to tell Mimi to cover up.

Do you believe that Young Jeezy crap? (39,498) by Lee from USA
Does she have the time to cheat with the kids, new album, etc? I swear they make up things to drag her name through the mud. But then again, J Lo is pretty much done with her man anyways, so the bloggers don't want to see Mimi happy if their darling isn't. Hell, the last time we saw her with Jeezy was months ago. Nick was not jealous when he responded to it, he probably laughed it off.

I'm tired (39,213) by Lee from USA
This whining about what Mimi's haters think about her is getting old, guys. Everybody knows that there's a vendetta against Mimi among industry people. Mariah gets criticized for shit that Kanye and Lady Gaga would have been celebrated. Are people that desperate to bash Mimi that they are invoking Celine Dion? If Mimi took note from Celine, then she would be as irrelevant as Celine is now. I like the fact that Mimi is challenging these kids instead of running to Vegas in order to be an overpaid lounge singer.

I swear (38,567) by Lee from USA
We as fans need to calm down. If the woman could put out a great song at 43, then I am not giving up on her. Edward, there's a reason why Barbra Streisand sounds great. [...] If Babs was so great, why did she struggle for years to get hit songs?

I wouldn't worry, Jimbo (38,285) by Lee from USA
She is not the person that would creep around. If it was J Lo or Madge, then I would agree with you. Besides, Nick goes to all of these clubs which are full of half naked chicks while Mimi is home taking care of the kids. How come there are no pictures of that? The paps are less willing to follow Nick around than they are when it comes to Mimi. By the way, I don't care about the album's name, only the music. And another thing, how come Rolling Stone has not said anything about #Beautiful yet? Usually, they are the ones talking the most crap about anything Mimi puts out.

Well (37,939) by Lee from USA
I am sure Aretha lipped a few times in her day, so nobody's perfect. Madonna and Whitney have ripped off their fans at one point or another, yet nobody is crying about it a week later. This is what I'm talking about. Mimi is the most scrutinized artist in the business. If Radar Online struggled to find proof of it and there is proof on YouTube of the opposite, then we should let it go and keep supporting her. By the way, Mimi is far from embarrassing herself via a taped performance gone awry. If bad press has not destroyed her by now, it is not going to now.

You are all right but (37,929) by Lee from USA
Another thing irks me about this fiasco. Why is Mimi is getting grief due to appearing to not give J-Lo a standing ovation? These people should know that it is J-Lo, not Aretha or Patti LaBelle. I will never understand the hero-worship that J-Lo has gotten over the years despite underwhelming music and crappy movies. Yet if Mimi puts out a bad song or bad movie, she is exiled from showbiz.

I am not worried (37,898) by Lee from USA
She is going to shut these haters and fair-weather fans up on GMA next Friday. People complained about her performance on the BET awards, but it didn't stop TEOM from going 6x platinum. So, why are people crying about a medley of her hits? Hello, you can't sing a duet by yourself. You all can't expect our girl to sing 4 or 5 songs in 4 or 5 minutes. She doesn't have to prove anything to us. The woman just put out a top 40 hit at the age 43 without much promotion.

Well (37,871) by Lee from USA
According to Mediabase, the spins are going up by 1000 per days on the other non-Clear Channel stations. The Examiner is nothing but some haters. In regards to her being sexy, the reason that she is worth $500 million is that she combines sex appeal and talent. Nine of the top ten richest women in entertainment are sexy as hell. She did not make the rules, so she should not be punished for following them.

I love the video (37,786) by Lee from USA
I like how she doesn't care about the fashion critics. To be honest, most of them look like crap in person. Heck, she looks better at 43 than most of them did at 23. Besides, it fits the video. It's supposed to be sexy and summery. It isn't like she is going to the Met Gala (which seems to be overrated since Kimye bribed their way in after they were rejected last year). The song has the same vibe as "Cruisin" from Smokie Robinson, so the car and motorcycle scenes make sense.

We should all know (37,161) by Lee from USA
Mimi doesn't give a crap about the fashionistas of the world. Life's too short to lose sleep on what some [...] or [...] thinks about your outfit. I enjoyed the warm weather, too.

It's funny (37,146) by Lee from USA
I don't see how anybody could take Nicki's side over Mimi's when the majority of people who regularly watch AI and the press says Nicki is being a clown. Do anybody read the messageboards at other websites? Nicki may be entertaining, but she is saying nothing. Mimi is being something that is lost on people like Wendy Williams and her critics, and it is called being professional. Do people forget that when our girl is assertive, she gets slammed as a "diva-beast"? If she doesn't assert herself, she gets slammed as boring. I wish people would make up their minds.

I am not worried about TM hogging the credit (37,087) by Lee from USA
TM could say whatever he wants to say. But people are learning the truth about him now. He is vastly overrated and his post-Mimi failures speak louder than his book ever will. Anyways, did you all see the Fashion Police tonight? Well, if I was Mimi, I would be mad as hell enough to retaliate against these morons like Lady Gaga did.

Videos didn't make Mimi great (36,719) by Lee from USA
I mean, Mimi has raw talent and Rihanna is just milking her "beating" by Chris Brown for sympathy. People forget that Mimi had some cheap-looking videos in the '90s and still ended up being the greatest artist of the '90s. Mimi worked with Hype Williams for the "I Want To Know What Love Is" video, and it was a mess. An artist could have a great video, but without promotion, it wouldn't mean much. All she needs is a label that would support her, not one that is trying to dump her in favor of Jay-Z's supposed mistress or some teeny-bopper.

CDC (36,635) by Lee from USA
So, Mimi should have stayed single, childless and miserable until 2012, right? She shouldn't have to hit #1 all of the time to please us or any pundits. There have been artists that went decades without a hit and no pundits screamed about them yet. I personally like Nick Cannon because he's loyal to her, unlike Derek Jeter who dumped her as soon as he got on a hitting slump. People may bitch about his videos, but I liked them over anything that Hype Williams did for her lately. And last time I checked, Nick didn't choose the singles. I think all the griping about his videos is really about Mimi marrying Nick in the first place.

One problem, TJ (36,446) by Lee from USA
Madonna pretty much threw her goodies to anyone in the 1990s. She slept with any man (and woman) in order to keep her name in the tabloids and made porn. In 1997, Madonna was not a legend, but an established star. It's hypocritical to condemn Mimi for saying Madge needing controversy when the press and public said the same thing for years. Meanwhile, Mimi kicked ass in the 1990s without sleeping with God-knows-who. To compare Mimi's honest criticism to Nicki's disrespect is asinine.
(Sunday 7 October 2012; 23:01)
Other legends aren't nice, so why should Mimi be? (36,428) by Lee from USA
Didn't Mimi earned the respect of other musicians and the public already? Aretha looks down upon younger artists all of the time and people still gives her respect. Madonna bullied Lady Gaga for years, and people respect her as a legend. KRS-One rips into other rappers at times yet nobody posted anything about it. But Mimi has to be nice? Really?
(Friday 5 October 2012; 21:15)
Another thing (36,419) by Lee from USA
So Nicki is crying about Mimi's "lying" about death threats. Why would she lie to anyone? First, Nicki has a track record of disrespect and tirades. If you all don't believe me, ask Mo'Nique (and a whole lot of DJs and other rappers) and watch that "My Time Is Now" documentary. Then, she goes on Twitter ranting and raving about it. RIP Nicki Minaj's career 2009-2013.

I see it this way (36,402) by Lee from USA
How did a female rapper with little competition became a judge anyways? I am tired of being spoon-fed this bullmess about Minaj being the "queen of hip-hop" when she is the only female rapper in the game. All of her "rivals" are either going to jail, getting out of jail, or just irrelevant.
